    What a surprise - the Mets are losing.

    It is certainly true that when a team goes bad they look worse than they really are (or God, at least I hope that's true). And Willie has had as bad a stretch as he has had as Mets manager.

    Why the hell is this team playing so bad? I don't get it. The SP is fine and the bullpen sans Schoensuck is pretty decent but we are getting nothing from a large precentage of our guys in crucial situations.

    The offense is really what's been the problem and alot of guys are out of the lineup so there's no reason to panic. It's a long season and you always have stretches like this it's just frustrating when you're in the middle of one.
