Yeah, and Alfonzo and Piazza are probably .700+ OPS higher than what the Mets are going to get out of 2b and C this year. Benny Agbayani was also better than any of the current Mets corner OFers. I'd call RF a wash between Derek Bell and whoever you want throw throw out there for the current Mets team. Zeile actually had a pretty good year in 2000, obviously Delgado is better but the gap isn't as wide as you'd think.

Beltran with second RBI of the night. 2-1 Mets.

The Philly defense is so much better than the Mets defense.

I'd rather see 100 runners thrown out than 2 sac bunts in the first 3 innings from the #2 hitter.

Once again. Jerry Lewisx waits till trouble starts to get the bullpen going.

Redding had a great 6th, Low count, but after last night....at least be ready, considering it's a one run game and Philly is better than the mets late in games.

Takahashi against Utley then Howard. Not feeling too confident.

Okay, it wasn't Howard, but rather Ibanez.

Phillies have 3 of the top ten HR hitters in the NL on their team.

We don't have a player in double digits. This lack of power is starting to get old.

To be fair, other than Pedro and Frankie, our entire bullpen sucks against lefties
