    Dirk Koetter? Really?

The Jags finished dead last in offense.

Why is that a route we are interested in taking?

I was referring to Sparano and Koetter. Maybe I can get on board with a Sparano/Haley split. Koetter shouldn't even be an option IMO. What did he accomplish in Jax the last few years? When did the Jags have off the chart offensive numbers.

I gotta research Sparano a little more and how his offenses performed, but I'm not in the Koetter camp at all.

Sparano would be a run first offensive coordinator. I was more referring to the split of Haley/Sparano than to you specifically.

Does nobody else remember Todd Haley almost provoking a fist fight with Anquan Boldin in the NFC Championship game, or Haley refusing to give Jamaal Charles more touches than Thomas Jones, or Haley forcing Tyler Palko to try to run his overly complicated playbook, or Haley getting a 15 yard penalty against the Jets for being unable to control his temper?

Why would anyone think that adding this guy to the Jets fractured locker room as a CO-coordinator would be a good idea? For fuck's sake, I'd rather just stick with Schotty than hire this asshole.

True. 3 times in his 4 seasons as HC of Miami, they finished in the top 11 in rushing despite not having a true 'feature' back. They've had good backs (Brown, Williams), but nothing great.

How much can we attribute to him and how much of it was to their OC (Henning/Daboll?).

Sparano could easily be our answer for all this hell going on in our locker room. He has an awesome track record for being able to fix players with huge egos. I think he would fit in great in our organization.

He might also make Greene into the running back we need. Reggie Bush never had a 1000 yard season with New Orleans. He came over to Miami under Sparano and immediately hit 1000 yards. Pretty impressive.

Reggie Bush didn't hit 1000 yards due to injury and not being the feature back and used in passing situations.

Well I think it would be similar to our team. Who do you give credit to for the defense Rex or Pettine?

Don't be to quick to judge Koetter. He has a pretty solid resume. When Garrard was the QB thet were not a bad offense. This year that had absolutely no offensive talent.

That is my thought exactly, I think he is good but he was helped a ton by a HOF QB and a top 3 WR in the league

He doesn't really excite me much but he does have a solid resume and like you said with Gerrard they were a nice offense and he did have a rookie QB.

Can't look much at his work from this year. As it doesn't quite tell the whole story.

Let's hope that the Jaguars don't hold what a coordinator did in his previous role as to his qualifications for a HC position.

With Koetter maybe you get Garrad as healthy as a back-up.

So much for that idea. Hope of anyone other than Schotty dies a little bit.

Well I didn't want Haley so I'm not too upset about that news, but it really makes you wonder wtf the Jets are doing. Candidates are being hired while the jets rest on their laurels.
