Do you hear about any other quote in the media NO It's not his fault but any business man would let go an employee killing his company brand even if not by fault
There is validity to this argument. When Rich Rodriguez was at Michigan, the Detroit Free Press crucified him at the local level on a daily basis and it was a distraction. Try as they might, this stuff can't be kept out of the locker room.
I understand that to some extent, however forcing the issue before a game has been played is kind of ridiculous. Lets be real, nobody is expecting the Jets to be worth a damn this year... so what happens when the Jets put up a respectable showing where they either make or come close to making the playoffs? Do you still can Rex because its a distraction? With all the problems the Jets I'd have, I would think that achieving that kind of season would suggest that the distraction isn't all that serious. I'd rather the Jets let the story be written through the season than write the story themselves before a game is played.
OMG! This is the worst thing to happen to the Jets franchise since Mangold watched his sister in the olympics! This is going to ruin the team!!!! Sky is falling ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Rex Ryan missing a few hours of practice will RUIN US!!!
It's a story on NFL.com also, where they have this update: UPDATE: ESPN's Chirs Mortensen tweeted Tuesday morning that other coaches also attended their sons' games on Saturday. Mortensen did not give any examples of other coaches, however This is actually just hilarious now...
No self respected New Yorker, or NFL fan across the globe, and above all no Jet fan should be caught dead investing or reading the Daily Shit, or its website, or any twitter from their spiteful, useless hacks, starting of course with Sheta Metha himself. He should be booed right out of any Jets game to let him know how little we support his shit.
He shouldn't have to defend shit. This is a non-fucking issue. It's absolute bushleague bullshit nonsense.
Mehta is REALLY pushing the envelope at this stage. Anything for a click & he doesn't care how far of a reach it is. Best thing is to ignore him completely. He offers nothing but trashy speculation that serves no point to the knowledge seeking reader.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 8m Tony Dungy, on NBC conf call, says Rex Ryan deserves "a big round of applause" for visiting son at college. "It made me feel good." #Jets
What would Herm do in this situation? Exactly, he would have been at the Jets facilities doing his job. Some are you guys are turning soft on me....
I thought having rich and tony in the same post was not allowed anymore on these boards. It causes the hater alarms to go off....
I love how obvious it is that Cuntbag Mehta just made up his "unnamed source". The moves where made Friday evening, yet Mehta claims that they were made on Saturday with Rex and Idzik communicating via phone and text. In case anyone has missed it: Cuntbag is pissed at Rex and Jets because Cuntbag's squash partner (and likely buttbuddy) Pettine got sent away to Buffalo.
Yeah, and remember it was Rex himself who convinced Mangold to leave to go see her. Rex gets no credit for being a good man. (When he is a good man ; ) At least he's consistent.
I got friends who don't like the Jets, but would love to see the Jets make the playoffs just to see what ny media has to say about that.
From what I heard or read I should say he did have the blessing of both and encouraged him to go down Saturday afternoon and come back on Sunday as it was the only opportunity he would have all season to see his son at Clemson. Not really a big deal as a father I understand wanting to be there for a very important moment in your sons life, one that he is only going to have one opportunity to ever do in his entire life. Quite simply a non-story and another attempt by the media to destroy Rex's credibility.
