This is what I think too. And that is actually a great luxury to have. It is a huge asset to have a guy that can come in fresh on 3rd down and generate pass rush up the middle
Its looking that way, an with the drafting of Richardson, I think management see's the writing on the wall. Coples would be much better in a 4-3 system imo, he's not working out as a OLB, far to slow, I'd just like to get a return out of this guy, other than hold onto him, for a few more years, cause with Wilkerson an Richardson, no chance in hell, he finds his way back to the DL
Always ready to just throw in the towel on the new guys before they even get a chance eh? Either you just started following the team this year or you've followed the team since the stone age and are going senile. Yeah, he just "isn't working out". How silly to say that. Coples gives us versatility up front. We can play him in multiple roles and keep the offense off guard. People forget that Barnes was a big part of that front as well.
Best game as a Jet and it wasn't even close. At least 4 QB hurries on Brees especially on the last play of the game.
Coples finally had a break through game...and let me tell you something...if this kid has found the "it" factor, this defense is officially the balls. They did what a few of us were screaming about..the put his hand in the dirt and let him rush. Great game.
How good of a game Coples had won't be measured in his stats. He had 6 QB hits. After Brees drinks his nyqil he's gonna be seeing Coples in his sleep.
Wow!!! Just wow. I hope this is the start of things to come. Game ball Sent from my wey aye phone using Tapatalk - now Free
That call was something straight out of the Brian Schottenheimer playbook. WTF? A reverse to a slow TE on 4th and inches - huh?
Coples was dominant today. Hopefully this was the game he finally took that step and plays well consistently. And Pace hasn't been great, but he's slowly gotten 5 sacks this year.
Gotta play with his hand in the dirt. Let him do one thing and that's rush the passer. Best game for the Jets he's played. Talent was never the question, intensity and focus were the only question marks...
