Crowder is getting paid a lot of money for a guy that hasn't done much in his career, is he even better that Cotchery? They may not be 29th but they sure aren't even middle of the pack either.

The sad thing is that during Mac's tenure there were very good WR's available in the draft and he pretty much shit the bed on non-picks and worse on those he did pick.

The combination of Enunwa, Herndon and Bell gives Sam reliable options but none of these 3 are game breakers catching the ball, they'll help move the chains in methodical fashion but that doesn't help if they're down 17 or so late in the 3rd or early 4th qtr. That's the issue with this receiving group. Aside from toothpick Robbie this is a group that requires a rhythm QB. It's not a quick strike offense (with the possible exception of Bell "IF" they can open holes for him). By comparison if Mayfield is down 17 late in 3rd or early 4th his receivers give him a great chance to score quickly. Having a methodical offense isn't necessarily bad but it puts a whole lot of pressure on the defense to get off the field and not allow a game to get out of hand.

Bell has 7 receiving TD's in 5 years. For comparison, Kamara has 9 in 2 years, a lessor but versatile player like Coleman has 11 in 4 years. Bell is a game breaker as a rusher, I just don't see it as a receiver. He's a good receiver but he's more of a move the chains type as opposed to a take it to the house guy.

I didn’t think “gamebreaker“ solely meant scoring touchdowns. In that case yes you are right we don’t have that guy has a receiver but when you have a bunch of guys who can move the chains at ease you’re probably going to end up in the end zone so who cares?

Also by your definition, Robby seems like a gamebreaker to me.

Agreed, he certainly has the potential to be a gamebreaker. His consistency needs to improve. He had 2 100yd games last year and 3 in 2017 coupled with 1 catch for over 50 yds in 2018 and 2 in 2017.

O-Lines that give their QB and extra 1/2 second on pass plays will have the top rated WRs every time.

I wish we still had Mason snagging a 100 deep balls a season for us (see, it could be worse!).
