If we lose both Snacks AND Mo due to the salary cap, well that just royally sucks. And we don't know if Sheldon I'd going to be suspended for most of the next year? So much for the Sack Exchange 2.0.

Woolfork proved how important the position is, while Snacks is no Woolfork he is very good

Honestly its a tough call between Harrison and Wilkerson. We need to find a way to keep both of them.I think if I had to chose I'm taking Harrison

I'd rather have the best pass rusher than the best run stopper.

On the advice of the scouting dep't most likely

Snacks took it to another level this year, imo, and showed some versatility. Whether that was from Cat in the rotation idk. It's gonna be tough for TB to let him go. He has a tough decision to make.

Deon Simon might be able to hold the fort, TB knows better than anyone else.

Getting a good OLB with speed would prolly make his decision easier on who he would let go, begrudgingly.

I would also like the best pass rusher but he is not on our roster.

Right, but maybe we could get a much better pass rusher even if he isn't "the best" with the money that we would have used to sign Snacks, and be better as a team, and the D would be able to get off the field on 3rd downs.

The money it would cost to sign Snacks may get you a mediocre pass rusher at best.

Isn't mediocre better than the terrible or non-existent we already have? Besides, it may be for a player who just needs some technique refinement, or for a player stuck on a team with a bad DL that can't keep the OL off of him. Said player could come here and do very well.

If you don't have a good run stopper you'll never get to use your great pass rusher.

A lot of us would sign up for that, but didn't he reject a contract extension of 5M a year already? He shouldn't get anymore than 5.5M. Mac wants to find a way to keep all of the D-lineman on the team, he said it himself. If he thinks he can try it by all means lets see it happen.

We have 3 good run stoppers already outside of Snacks. Wilk, Leonard Williams and Sheldon. Sorry, not losing pass-rush productivity over a 2 down lineman.

Damon Harrison agent quickly turned that down. The lowest Snacks will get is 6 million per year- could go to 7 million. Check out what top run stuffers got in Fa last year- 6 million. With the cap going up, the asking price is going up.
