top 5 QB that helped us get to 2 title games in 3 years as a starter. I'll take being that overhyped but I'm sure you'd rather have a great fantasy QB that puts up pretty #s.
Your question in case you forgot was how exactly was he overhyped. I told you how and yeah I would much rather have Brady or Brees or Rogers who put up fantastic fantasy numbers. None of them were taken #5 so I guess none of them were ever overhyped.
In a lot of ways this season was the best thing that could have possibly happened to the Jets. I expect we will make the proper changes to the coaching staff and team accordingly. Rex gets to feel the fire and I anticipate our defense and running game will be breathing that fire next season. The 2012 NY Jets will be feared.
This thread is the same cesspool of insanity that my cousin was ranting and raving about in 2006~2007 about Eli Manning on his vaGiants fan site. Everyone needs to chill the fuck out. Getting rid of Tanny is lunacy. He's made some excellent decisions. Gholston sucks but every GM has a bad draft. You have to give Ducasse the benefit of the doubt. This is his year to prove he can handle the NFL. However, the Jets losing possibly the best line coach in the NFL may not be a good thing. Lets kill Tanny for those terrible picks like Revis, Harris, Brick, Nick, Greene, Conner, Keller... God damn we have short memories...
I think Peyton winds up somewhere quiet. The obvious jobs, in Jacksonville and Tennessee aren't going to happen because the Colts will never let him go in the division and probably not in the AFC at all. Maybe he winds up in the desert in Arizona, who have gotten good results out of importing a hall of fame bound QB recently. Maybe he winds up in Seattle, although playing for Pete Carroll probably isn't going to be on the top of his list. Going to a circus, like the Redskins or the Jets, would be a very undignified way to wind down what has been a well-managed career. He'd really love to go to Tennessee but that just isn't going to happen.
This would be a great landing place, I'm not sure if it's possible since they just signed Kolb. I'd enjoy seeing a healthy Manning throwing to Fitzgerald. The only reason to come to the Jets would be Tom Moore. If he sticks to wanting a well managed career he will just retire. I still think that is the most likely scenario.
But playing with his brother in the same stadium would be great, and it would be a story book ending to career if he back ups Sanchez steals job from him and goes to SB. He can't have a story book ending sitting on bench behind luck.
peyton will not back up either of those players. more than playing in the same stadium as eli, i think being in the same division as brady would seem like a lot of fun to peyton.
Has there been an update on if Manning can throw or play or about his recovery in general? Didn't this start out as a simple injury and Manning might miss one game and it turned into a season ending injury? I wonder IF he is cut as people think he will be, what the market would be when his health is a complete unknown. Also, how likely can the injury be reaggravated? There are so many questions, but he was a very good QB.
yeah, he's throwing passes again. not everything but up to 20-25 yard passes. i think addai came out and said that the shorter stuff is good enough to play right now. no idea about reaggravating it. his health won't be such a mystery by that time because he'll have to go through physicals and all that. no team is offering any money until they thoroughly check him out.
It seems the cots fired Polian because he wanted to trade out of the first pick and keep Manning. now it seems they will release him.
