So Peter King's the final word on why the Jets made this move when he says good stuff about the Jets, but he's a hack when he doesn't! Gotcha. BTW, I agree with him.
elam did a nice thing, but ryan is right, he has a way better chance to make an impact and play for a nice contract in cleveland
Elam is a good player but with Leohard here to get a franchise QB was almost a no-brainer. Great job by Tanny, Again. An weirdly... I guess thanks Mangina ? Fuck that we still had to give the fucker 2 other players and draft picks. Well see if it was all worth it. I Think it might be.
Peter gives us way too much information in the travel section of his article. Why would he write about this? Disturbing. _______________________ One other note from the road: Changing planes at DFW on Sunday, I used the men's room near one of the American gates. I walked into one of the toilet stalls with the automatic flushers. WHOOOOOSH. I closed the door to the stall and sat down. Three more times I heard the same WHOOOOOSH as I sat there and minded my own business. Of course, no flush when I get up and leave the stall. Gotta love technology.
WTF are you talking about? Every report about this trade states that Rex Ryan fell in love with him after meeting him at his personal workout. Rex wanted him and encouraged the FO to do whatever it takes to get him. All Peter King brought to this article that wasn't common knowledge already was the information about Elam. Peter King is still a cocksucker whether he likes the move or not.
Here is your quote about the article. (Hopefully this could put an end to the talk about this move being about selling the PSLs, which is complete nonsense and this proves it.) Certainly sounds like you're saying King was the final word...
Thank you once again Abram Elam. Glad to see you had a good day for yourself. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=nfl&id=4070 Browns SS Abram Elam led the team with eight tackles (seven solo) and had a sack in Sunday's opener.
Abram Elam is a good player, it would have been cool seeing him in this defense...but Sanchez isn't too bad himself
What was the point of necroing this thread up? All of the Jet's safeties played really well on Sunday. All of them.
Elam had to sign off on the trade up for sanchez or else it couldn't be completed. There was something in his contract about that not being able to happen without his consent. I forget what the clause was. He had to agree to being traded all the while knowing his job was in jeopardy with Leonhard coming to town. He was a good sport about it. One of the contract personnel in the GM office spotted the clause and she made the calls to get it done. She's also a Staten Island native. The NY Times had a story about it.
From the artice on page one. Elam did both himself and the Jets a good one by accepting the trade. I wish the best for him, unless its agains us of course hehe.
For all the crap Mangini gets on this board, we have to thank him for the trade too. He really gave us a sweetheart deal.
Fucking Easterbrook. Doesn't spend a second talking about Rexy or Sanch, but he can sling praise all over Elam.
Yes, because people want to read about Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez extensively in game reviews for Minnesota and Cleveland.
