I really don't see what the big deal is - he got to bring in the fact that Springsteen will be performing at the Super Bowl while saying that the two Meadowlands teams are his top two teams. It's moderately clever (okay, weakly clever), and not even remotely insulting to my mind. Putting the Patriots at #4 is far more absurd than involing New Jersey with respect to the Jets.
