Exactly! Bellichicken was on his way to creating a contender in Cleveland when the owner sold him down the river. Probably part of the reason that he got spooked when Leon died.
You know what, it is part of the rebuilding proces.. The players that don't buy into MaNgini's system just won't be here.. Mangini is in charge and has security, he is gonna build his team with his players.. You can probably figure out who is still in contact with Mawae, chances are they are not part of the future anyway..
King and Mawae have "Newbie" Syndrome. They would never give any credit to Mangini yet, dispite that we are coming off our best pre-season game in years. You could roll up all of last years pre-season under Herm (The Destroyer) and it wouldn't come close to what we accomplished on Saturday.
Maybe they are buying into him, and maybe they aren't. I'll reserve judgement until I see how the Jets perform over the next few years.
Oh they're going to lose more games than they win. What should we do though, we just sat thgrough 4 years of stalemate? When players call your training camp a derrogatory uphimism for a country club, there's something clearly wrong. We all see how well KC is doing. Maybe you guys should go follow the Chiefs. Of course there will be some imbeciles that expect a trophy in the first year. Most of us are just glad the retard is gone.
Peter King has moron tendencies, Mawae is crying spilled milk. Winning takes care of everything, and I'm sure the Jet players weren't thinking about how brutal this camp has been after the win against the Skins. The Belechik and Parcells comparisions are getting a little tiring right now. Sure he's learned his craft under their watch, but he's his own man, and will develop and create his own culture. If you want to continue comparring him to Belichek, then its only logical to draw comparisions to the Clev days, because Belichek hadn't won anything yet just like Mangini hasn't won anything yet. A least we're not talking about poisened Kool Aid or chasing chickens, or the seating arrangements on a bus ride, and that's refreshing in itself.
Look at the way KC played last week. Last year that would have been us after our team spent the summer at Camp Happy Herm. I love that the guys are complaining, Hell I went to the meadowlands and watched and if they made a mistake they ran a lap. In herms world they got a smile and a smack on the butt. I like the way things are going just fine.
I could use some help I couldn't agree more. Media has been really pissy over their loss of access compared to the Herm era. And to be fair...they need to write SOMETHING....but Cannizaros hacket job the first week of camp was the most perfect example of spurned sportwriter I ever did see....just a quick aside....I lost(how careless of me) my tailgate buddy and am looking for another group to meet and talk Jets at games...if someone would tell me best way to post this question, i'd appreciate it
Werd. Mangini is actually teaching these guys. He's conditioning them. He's building a culture. When they pick an OL with the first high pick, you know they are committed to building a football team. How many teams would have just jumped all over Reggie and worried about the real issues later? Herm and Badway feel like they were burned by a place kicker the previous year. That following draft, they defined knee-jerk reaction and drafted a friggin kicker. Meanwhile they let the rest of the core age. Maybe the Hermway apologists can figure out why the team never progressed under the Jackie Chiles regime.
I can send U links from the KC Star which in essence are telling the fans to really drop there SB expectations for 06. You know the KC paper started a Hermism section? Like I said when he hired by KC 2 years & he will be history. You wonder how Woody could have accepted such a dolt as his HC after you are now viewing him from afar
It is definitely about not receiving air time with Mangini. Herm was more than accomodating and if you watch NFL Network, he has probably been on there more this season than any other coach. Reporters like that, but all we care is about winning and if Mangini's way works for him then so be it. Reporters like fat ass King bring nothing new to the table. The game is played on the field, not in the media room. I don't listen to analysis anymore anyway, because I got sick of hearing these so so called experts try to talk as if they know everything. Just watch the games. No pre-game shows, just the games. That is all that matters.
