There is no such thing as a realist. A realist is just an optimist or pessimist who dismisses the opinion of others.
Season Couldn't care less what Peter King thinks. I hope for interesting games and good health for the players. Let's face it if a top QB goes down predictions are worthless. No team has enough depth to sustain multiple injuries at any position. If in week 8 today's Jets are still healthy and playing they will win more than expected.
How are we this bad?...............Geno and Sanchez aret QBs that are not going to win any games by themselves. Add that our receiving corps has Clyde the glyde Gates, a guy that couldn't even make the Dolphins roster last year.
I love this logic. Every team is made up of important players who were passed on by other teams. That's what happens when you don't get drafted in the 1st round.
16 recs. last year for 224 yds with 0 tds with 35 tgts. He couldn't even catch half of what was thrown at him. Clyde is Fast!!!!!!!! but has hands of stone.
That's funny and a great point actually. It's kind of silly to call oneself a realist. Everyone thinks their opinion is real, whether it's positive or negative. I do hear that quite frequently from the darksiders.
So our 4th WR is project who clearly improved his route running by so much if you watched him, and you are upset? If he was our #1 WR I understand, but you aren't going to have Calvin Johnson as your 1-5 WR on your team.
They had a much easier schedule last year and they were lucky to win 6 games, easily could've been a 3-4 win team, 2-4 wins I think is the Jets future this year.
I'm sticking with my same prediction for the game I had before we knew if Geno or Sanchez was starting, Odds are 65-70% the Buc's win.
Well said. The difference between a pessimist and an optimist is the proverbial half full /half empty glass view of the world. A realist is a self proclaimed title for one who fancies himself as too smart or savvy to be drawn in either camp. Truth be known, a pessimist might be an optimist with lower expectations or a realist with no expectations.
No NFL win is easy, a fact that many have a hard time grasping in this era of internet black and white absolutism. (Not you, just a general observation)
There last 7 games include one team with a winning record from last season. This isn't a schedule you look at and go wow those last 7 will be impossible to win. Coples will be back, if Smith is QB you pray to god he improves, Goodsen will be contributing, and the defensive front 4 will be fun to watch.
It's a matter of bias. If you are a pessimist you are upset because the glass if half empty, if you are an optimist you are glad because the glass of half full, if you are a realist you are neither happy or sad, and just view the state of the glass. Everyone is somewhere along this spectrum, with those in the center being realists, with the other two axis occupied by SOJ fans/Sanchez supporters respectively.
