I think this video clearly shows the differences between the Manboobs pass rush and the Rex pass rush:

    Yeah....it was basically a compliment.

An alternative name could be "The Asylum Defense".

Should be able to pull Moss off the north side of a tree, though.

Great analysis. Ditto for Br4dway. I thought the O-line did a much better job last season with Cassel, but that's likely due to the fact that Beli felt he needed more protection. I was referring more to the fact that the Pats use more of an outlet passing game to protect him. That's why I said to get ready for a heavy dose of Faulk. The Pats will adjust better than the Texans did, and Faulk is IMO one of the most underrated backs in the game because of how he's used in the passing game.

Who is Brady's backup anyway? Now that we have O'Connell, I have no idea who else is on their depth chart at QB. Speaking of Kevin O'Connell, you think we could actually get some valuable info from him this week?

He could probably tell us how Brady likes to be held in the shower.

Pfeh. You can easily get that information spending 10 minutes strolling the halls of ESPN on any given day between July and February.

This is a big question year for the Pats. If Brady comes back firing on all cylinders and stays healthy, and the defense handles the loss of Harrison, Vrabel, Bruschi and Seymour, then the Pats will be great.

Like I said that's a huge number of questions though that need to be answered first.

At worst, their offense is still elite, top 3 in the NFL, and their defensive front 7 is still no joke... their secondary is definitely suspect but they've upgraded both of their cornerbacks... I don't expect this to be easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Tonight people's fears will grow because I'm expecting the Pats to crush the Bills to the tune of 45-0 followed by a week long Patriots love fest from the usual outlets... all in all this will be fine since the Jets will continue to not get respect and continue to fly under the radar despite yesterday's game.

Honestly I think there will be alot of intentional roughing plays by the Jets... they want to send a message and the best way to do it is to hit somebody even if it's a little late. Absolutely we wanna win the game but this is the 1st battle in a war between these two teams. Chicken is going to want to embarrass the Jets and Rex in their home opener but Rex and Scott want Brady or Welker to leave on a stretcher.... should be interesting.

This all depends on Brady. So there's a question there. More QB's have had problems after a double ligament tear than have come back ok. He may be in the upper end of the curve but even then nobody, including Carson Palmer, has ever come back to be just as good as he was beforehand and several stars have declined precipitously - Daunte Culpepper being the obvious example.

I don't doubt that their defense is still good. After Wilfork nobody scares me though. Maybe Adalius Thomas now that they've put him back outside but still he's 32 now and age does take it's toll.

Just think of it this way: if they get a sophomore slump out of Mayo they are screwed to hell and back.

I expect a closer result. I think they win 31-17 and the separation happens in the second half.

    Indestructible.
    Determination that is incorruptible.
    From the other side.
    A terror to behold.
    Annihilation will be unavoidable.
    Every broken enemy will know,
That their opponent had to be invincible.
Take a last look around while you're alive,
    I am indestructible. (Indestructible.)

Absolutely love the chorus for a hard hitting defense.

This will be a major concern for me. Belichick and Brady are no strangers to aggressive DEFs. I don't want to get burned all first half trying to bring pressure. You blitz, but at the same time you realize the little weasel, Weasely Welker, will probably torch you for a 1st down.

At the same time, I'm saying "Fuck it," bring it to them and make Brady complete the pass. Some he'll make and some he'll blow, but on every play he'll know we're in his face. Every stinking play.

Lito, can you handle this? Revis and Rhodes, can you punish Welker enough in the 1st half?

The chorus stinks. Come on, the entire "musical selection" is horrible.

Seriously, you can't make a man or a team out of this kind of shit. Men are made out of reality and teams are geared to what's real on the playing field, not this mindless, nonsensical, cockamamie noise. Get rid of it in your repertoire. Do it now and do it often.
