I don't think the chemistry can get worse than what Holmes threw into the tube last year.

I've never seen a player blow up like that before. The situation was bad and instead of trying to work through it he quit on the team. He gave us a 4-12 performance on an 8-8 team trying to scratch out another win for a playoff spot.

Wayne Hunter was horrible last year but he never said "f*ck it I'm doing my own thing."

Something to speculate about during the off season - on a fan forum. Hard to fathom but it happens. :)

Percy is very good but he has had issues with migraines for many years. And yes even at Florida. He was getting treatment and missing time all through college and in the NFL. If he could be had in a reasonable trade I would say go for it. He wants more playing time however and to be more than a role player. Not sure how that would be different someplace else.

That would have nothing what's so ever to do with it. Starting Tebow should not be in any good coaching staff's plans. The Jets are banking on Sanchez, period. If he fails we start fresh next year or two.

I agree with you that this has nothing to do with Tebow. Percy has earned his own way in the NFL and is thought of as a very talented WR/Returner. I think he just wants more WR time is how I'm reading this situation.

Anyone who thinks Harvin could be had for 4th or 5th is crazy. He's one of the most dynamic players in the NFL and only 24 years old. Plus the Vikings have no other receiving weapons. I would imagine it would cost at least a first, which is something I would strongly consider. Doubt the Vikings will meet his request though.

Definitely worth thinking about assuming A) they intend to trade him at all and B) the price isn't something insane.

Also, if you remember, Tannenbaum LOVED Harvin before the 09 draft and tried desperately to move up for him after getting Sanchez. So that combined with his general aggressiveness suggests this is the type of deal that would be right up his ally. Between Holmes, Harvin, Hill, Kerley, Keller, McKnight, Greene, and Tebow we'd have an amazing number of weapons to play with.

  9. A #2 WR/Hyrbid RB w/ only 2 years left on his deal& a history of migraines & is not going to command a first round pick. If that's the Vikes asking price, team's will just wait for Harvin to be released.

Because GMCJETS has a hardon for every receiver not named Holmes, because his man crush got shipped out when we signed Tone. He would rather have an oft injured player than give a young guy like Hill reps for some reason.

I'll preface this by saying any conversation on trading for Harvin is probably pointless.

We can't trade Mcknight without getting an RB in return. He is the only guy capable of being a big play guy in our backfield right now. And the only guy outside of Greene that can be remotely trusted to carry the ball.

Secondly any trade for Harvin would have to involve Kerley, as Harvin would be perfect in the slot, thus nullifying Kerley's role on the team.

With Harvin's history he can't be counted on as a #2 WR, and the same goes for counting on him to be a situational RB.

While I agree Harvin would command more than a 4th or 5th rd pick, a 1st rd pick for a player with somes issues is too pricey. Harvin's on again, off again medical condition is a major concern.

I doubt the Vikes are going to to trade him for anything less than a 1st rd pick, so IMO, there won't be much interest to meet the Vike's demands.

lol anyone who thinks we show a shred of interest is ridiculous.

First off we don't have the cap space or anything close to it.

Second they're gonna want either a first + some, or multiple mid rounders.

Eitherway it makes absolutely zero sense for a rush first team like us to cripple ourselves cap wise and pick wise for this. Especially since the only way this move is evene fractionally possible is if we traded Holmes aka not happening

Didn't bother to read the 3 pages on my phone, but im SURE someone else explained why it would be completley retarded

Early prediction based on absolutely nothing.

But I expect the Dolphins to show some legit interest in him, and until further notice I expect them to be the favorites for his services.

They need desperately need a receiver,

Plus he went to college in Florida, and most young guys would presumably love to be somewhere like Miami instead of bumblefuck minnesota.

Obviously hes going to go wherever they will pay him, but I definitely see Miami being a strong contender for his services.

Chargers Titans and Panthers are other teams id put on the short list

The FO has enough faith in him that they were willing to trade up into the early 2nd round for him.
