If Harvin gets hurt tomorrow, can we fire Idzik and Rex then? Harvin will take a few weeks to work into a solid part of the offense. In the meantime he will be a SP player and decoy, with a few rushing and pass plays worked in. This was a horrible signing and won't save anyone's job. Nice try Idzik, don't let the dorr hit you in the ass. Spend $6.5 million and a draft pick for a possibility of getting an extra win. Only thing an extra win will do is screw up our draft pick. Seattle sure knew who to call.

According to Chris Kluwe (the Vikings' former punter), Harvin never returned punts because the art of catching punts is actually different than the art or catching kickoffs, and Harvin was not as good at catching punts.

I think Idzik is doing a solid job of adding offensive talent to the roster. he has work to do on the oline and at QB but I don't think anyone can accuse him of not putting talent around the QB.

Just his presence on the field will open things up for everyone else on offense.
    Hopefully Decker plays.

    idzik isn't going anywhere.

    seriously, he's not.

he's done nothing to be fired in two years. Even his lack of willingness to invest at CB last spring has only lead to us struggling there for a year and in a place to rectify the situation next year. thats… not a reason to part ways with a man in long term job like GM.

and fuck our draft position, we'll get talent in the first round either way, we don't need to be top 3 to get a blue chip player, I'd rather see the current group begin to find a winning formula.

Our top three WRs are now in the leagues top five at that position for pay, yet they aren't even close to top 10 in production. Add in the injury history and missed games and we aren't in the top 20. I see even more gimick plays and wildcat to try and hide all the bad players and choices the FO and HC have made.

Me too. Harvin is expected to be the primary KO returner with 5 returned for Touchdowns, number 6 today would be Sweet.

I'm not as excited to see him on kickoffs as I am at wide receiver. We need another solid receiver, and he could be it
