Would Idzik trade up for Jake Matthews or Greg Robinson? I would love to get either one of them for our line. Xavier Su'a-Filo, G, UCLA would be a good pick if we stay at 18 and OBJ is gone. I just want to give our two backs the best chance to dominate and eat up clock giving the defense a chance to rest. Winters looks too raw.
I'm just reading this now for the first time and it's a bit unsettling but normal pre-draft gossip. This draft is so deep I'd caution against trading up unless they can manage to get an Evans or a Watkins which would mean giving up some serious ammo to pull that off.
This is just pre draft hype. We are staying put at 18 or dropping down, if the move makes sense. Any moves up will come in the second round.

Me too. Although I'd prefer Cooks over Lee who is my 2nd choice for the 18th spot followed by Gilbert and Shazier.
Well supposedly after the first five or six there isn't much difference in the next group of players available. That's why I think the Jets will only trade up if they can get Watkins. Because he's so highly rated. But I can see them taking the BAP and they should whether the guy is on offense or defense. I also wouldn't mind seeing them trade down if the player they want (like for example one of the 4 Dbs) isn't there. And Glazer is not usually wrong. Can't see them taking Lee or Cooks at 18. Both of one of those guys will probably be available in the 20's. So maybe the Jets can make a deal with a Qb hungry team who wants to trade up. And use these extra picks to get other players on day 2 etc. or trade up later. Or even trade a pick for a 2015 pick.
That's my feelings about it too. With it being a historically deep draft trade up with some team that is truly shit bad like Jacksonville on day 2 and mayb eeraly on day 3.
What about selecting Lee in the 20's and then trading up to get the UCLA guard late in the 1st round.
They can't get Watkins, that's a pipe dream. If They trade up it will be in the 11-14 range to try and get Beckham or a corner.
