The Jets traded up to get Revis. Not sure about the Titans deal I wouldn't do that for the players available in that slot. Most probably Beckham. In that case I wait for 18 or even trade down.

If you're trading up to #11 it's to get ahead of the Giants. Giants have been associated with Zach Martin, Eric Ebron and Beckham more recently.

I doubt it would be for Ebron..we seem to have absolutely no interest or it's the biggest smokescreen ever.

    I know lol

If we move up and take Watkins, I don't know what I would do. I think I would go streaking lmao

Richardson never visited or talked to the Jets. You really never know ...

Could be a smokescreen. I think the BPA at #11 will be Zach Martin, who could be the best, most versatile O-lineman in this draft. Martin offers alot of value, he can play any position on the line, including center.

It would be a heavy price, including a high future pick.

They also traded up to get Stephen Hill, Dustin Keller and Mark Sanchez. So what's your point?

The question is would you like a Julio Jones type of talent. And with our defense and improvement in areas like tight end and the OL (in this draft) are we more competitive with Chris Johnson, Decker, Mike Vick, etc. Whens the last time we had playmakers like that.

    Don't forget Greene too.

The only two good trade ups the Jets have accomplished in recent memory were Revis and David Harris. I believe we moved a few spots with Green Bay in rd 2 that year.

You know I really understand that sentiment but I can't help thinking every time I hear it that to have a Julio Jones type talent we need a Matt Ryan QB and we don't have one. It's the same with all the stud receivers, having one is only have the problem.

Of course everyone would love a Julio Jones on the Jets. It's foolish to look at it in a vacuum though. there is fallout from trading up. You're also not guaranteed Julio Jones.

I hate to say it and it makes my stomach twitch a bit. I don't think the trading up would be for a WR.
I get the smoke screen feeling its for Gilbert.

Actually Tannenbaum was pretty good at draft day deals. The only problem was some of the guys he then selected didn't end up to be the kind of players he expected them to be. The deals though were good ones in terms of the picks he gave up or got back.
