Agreed. With a ton of talent that fits our needs in the late 1st-mid 2nd range I would not be surprised to see Tanny trade for another pick in the 2nd. And I wouldn't be all that upset with this scenario, either.
I spoke briefly with Mike T before/at the Orange Bowl and Clickscale was with him. He didn't say or comment on anything, but the fact they have been to the Bowl and the Pro Day indicates there is definately someone from Clemson they are very interested in. I'd love to see a trade back in the first and wouldn't be upset if the Jets selected Branch with the later first and/or Allen (the TE) with the second.

Ryan, who was joined in Clemson by team general manager Mike Tannenbaum, personally worked Branch through a couple of on-field drills. “I felt blessed having Rex Ryan come out here and throw to me. It speaks a lot,” Branch said. Branch limited his work at the Clemson pro day to on-field drills. At last month’s combine, his 40 time was fifth-best among defensive linemen [4.7] and his 10-foot broad jump was tied for fifth-best among players in that position group. “I felt like I did great at the combine,” Branch said. “My numbers proved it at the combine, so there was no need to do it today.” Even though he was back on familiar turf in Clemson, the pro day in Tigertown was every bit as stressful as the combine in Indianapolis. “You get to wake up about three hours earlier [at the combine],” Branch said. “Other than that, it’s pretty stressful, because you want to be great. At the same time, this is what you live for.” Last year’s ACC sacks leader did on field drills with both the defensive ends and outside linebackers at each workout. Branch believes he could fit in either a 4-3 scheme at defensive end or 3-4 at outside linebacker. According to his nfl.com combine profile, “He possesses the pass rush ability to regularly beat NFL linemen and disrupt the passer, either standing up or with his hand on the ground. This scheme versatility and pass rush ability could help him to be selected as early as the late second round of this year's draft.” Said Branch, “I’m ready to show my versatility, definitely.” The 6-foot-4, 259-pound prospect has met and interviewed with over 20 teams, so far. “I’m just blessed to have this opportunity, blessed to have a coaching staff put me in the right position and for everybody to come watch me do what I do,” Branch said. He thinks it was a job well-done last week in Death Valley. “I felt I did pretty well. I came out and showed everybody what I’m worth,” Branch said.
