Per Chan Gailey - Barring injury, Geno is Week 1 starter

?

Did the CS make the right decision regarding Geno

  1. Yes - Geno was the only viable option at Qb so why not name his the starter and be done.

  2. No- There should have been competition for the job. Geno should have had to earn it.

  3. This is May. It doesn't matter what the CS says.

Read my last post, that probably answers a lot of your questions about how the "offense was better" under Mark. And I put that in quotation marks because it's true, but without that magical context, it's a pointless statement.

Edit: I'll put the post here for you.

he made a mistake late even though it shouldn't have been ruled an INT but the K missed TWO chip shots which were critical and the D allowed 27 pts to a bad O. The TO was at midfield, it didn't put Was at the Philly 15.

The OL was better and in turn McCoy had some better games(though he wasn't consistent) but they got the ball in scoring range through the air many times. 2 of his 4 total rushing TDs were from the 2 or 1 yd line. He had one long TD run in the game at Dallas where they were already leading 23-10.

Your post is full of stats that have no context (oh, the irony). You're giving me offensive production numbers but not breaking it down by passing/rushing which I did for you.

You whine about context, you don't provide it. You whine about personal attacks, then you personally attack. You're seriously the TGG court jester at this point.

I provided more context than you did including avg starting FP on scoring drives, quality of opponent, TOs, etc...

what does passing TD to rush TD have to do w/ anything? there were plenty of times they passed to get into TD range. The bottom line is they scored a lot more despite facing tougher teams and their D allowing a lot more points AND the D/STs scoring a lot less points. The Eagles D/STs scored 21 points in a single game and they still LOST b/c the O couldn't score a point.

And that's just about all you need to know folks. I'm moving on from this. You're a waste of time. Go Mark!

Let's look at the rush TDs w/ Mark:

    McCoy(4)
1 yd vs. Car- Mark had thrown what looked to be 30 yd TD, was overturned and ball was placed at 1 yd line.
2 yds vs. Ten- Mark throws 21 yd pass to Cooper to Ten 2, McCoy scores TD
38 yds at Dal- great run, put Philly up 30-10.
11 yds at Was- nice run on drive mix of run/pass. put Phi up 7-3.

    Sproles(3):
Car- 8 yds: O takes over at Car 43, Mark completes 2/3 passes for 36 yds
Ten- 4 yds: O takes over at Phi 49, mostly McCoy running that set up TD
Dal- 1 yd: after TO, takes it in from 1

    Polk(4)
at Hou 8 yds- drive was all running
Dal 5 yds- sanchez completes passes for 54 yds on drive including setting O up at 5.
Dal 1 yd- sanchez 72 yd pass to Maclin sets up Polf from 1 yd line(and I think Maclin was in)
at NYG 1 yd- pass to Matthews sets up Philly at 1, Polk scores

    Sanchez(1)
    at Dal- 2 yds

    Context!

for fun here's rush TDs w/ Foles:

    Sproles(3)
49 yd run vs: Jax: w/ team trailing 17-0 in the 3rd qtr at the time
19 yds at Indy- drive began at Ind 26, 0 pass yds
    15 yds vs. NYG-mix of run/pass

    McCoy(
1 yd run at Ind- 28 yds through air on drive that began at Phi 20

all but one were 15 yds or more and the 1 yd run was a mostly running drive.

it is interesting when they don't actually read sort of like you the other day giving me out of context injury info while I provided data from each game showing they had the same O in most of those games before it fell apart.

Which running back did you have on your fantasy team? Good stuff looking up the play by play

Mark was trash those last couple games, all of those TOs

I am sorry, I should have posted blind #s w/ no context to pump up rushing TDs as if that means anything. I watched the games, I don't remember every detail but they were led by their pass game w/ Mark and had some big throws to set up easy running TDs.

Mark was trash, dude didn't even start all 16 games and was turning the ball over at alarming rate.

it was the same rate as Foles. Many of the TOs were in garbage time though he had a few big ones like in Washington. Not all TOs are created equal.

actually the out of context info if yours which shows starters...people start when injured (just ask Cro 2 years ago). Happens all the time.

If you think a list of 15 IR'd players and a map of injury reports for every player on the roster for every game of the season is out of context, you are truly a jerkoff.

I called this a few pages ago, lol.

With the improved weapons, what kind of numbers would we accept from Geno this season.

you play you get evaluated on how you play. Cro played hurt and he sucked, I don't know who was playing hurt but I know they were playing. Sorry, cannot use that excuse.
They had similar lineups on O through 10 weeks, they were 5-2 then had a 3 game losing streak w/ basically the same players(minus 1 injured player). That potent O led by Ryan Fitzpatrick then scored 11 pts(8 in garbage time), 7 pts and 6 pts. By the way, Fred Jackson averaged 5.6 YPC during that 3 game losing streak.

It's reality, sorry that bothers you. The GB game was over and he turned it over 3 times late. It allows the less knowledgeable to point to those TOs as if they meant something.

shut up. go run and hide again.

#s don't mean anything alone. How they accumulate the #s means something. We can say "if he throws 22 TDs and 12 INTs we'll make the playoffs!" but what if the majority are in garbage time? what if the majority of TOs are in close games late? we can say "if he throws 17 TDs and 15 INTs we have no chance" but what if he makes many big plays late in close games and many of the TOs didn't hurt us?

this is what the average fan does not understand.

Junc, you need to come down off your high horse PDQ or you're gonna get time off.

    Mgmt.
