He was part of the problem but Buffalo had the ball for almost 40 minutes for god's sake. The Bills were 9 of 20 on 3rd downs and 2 of 2 on 4th downs. Tell me that's also Fitz' fault.
Everyone who wants to blame the coaches, Revis, defense, injuries to RB and everything else need a reality check. Forget all the crap - the bottom line is the Jets had the ball in FG range to take the lead in the fourth quarter and Fitz threw a historically bad, mind numbing interception. It was as bad as any Sanchez or Geno ever threw. Although he made a few decent throws, Fitz was pretty bad for the majority of the game. Doesn't change what he did this season, but it is what it is.
Why are you here? You lost the bet and you're gone for an entire year. I'll start a thread to have the Mods enforce it, I suppose.
It certainly changes the contract he is likely to get this offseason. I feel for the guy, but you are never going to shake the "career loser" label by having a 4th quarter like today. He is the starter going into 2016, no question, but his job security long-term took a serious hit today.
All phases contributed to the loss. But then again if we gave credit to Fitz for winning us games then it's fair to credit him with losses.
The defense and special teams looked far worse than the offense did today, in my opinion. And the offense looked pretty shitty.
Are you serious???? Bowles and his defensive staff lost the game by not doubling Watkins on every play, and letting Taylor beat us with his feet. Those were the only 2 playmakers the Bills had on their injury-depleted offense, and Bowles let them beat us. That's the real reason we lost.
Fitz didn't play well but he is way down on the list for me. Coaching, defense, special teams, and lots of drops were all bigger reasons.
Completely disagree with the exception of the 5 game winning streak the head coach was very shaky all season and is what worries me most going into the offseason.
btw, anybody realize that Dareus totally owned Brick when he hit Fitz and caused that second INT? We need a new Left Tackle.
