This lousy D makes a stop and we can talk about winning or the crappy o-line that cant block...Moore and Clement are embarrassing

Chad is a long way down the list on how we didnt win Sunday

Once Barlow is full time and the run blocking improves maybe we dont have to rely on Chad getting himself killed to make another 3rd down conversion

i'm not. when chad gets to the super bowl, let alone wins one, then i'll concede your point. detroit and the titans are the same. you don't see pitt fans talking about ben like the chad cult does. he plays more than 16 games over 5 years and doesn't strangle the team with a $64 million nut while not producing. did you see anyone on the steelers telling bettis or ben to take a cut to remain on the team? despite his cap number, at least curtis martin played and delivered results.

Roethlisberger is in only his third season. It's a little different.

You're just as bad as the "Chad cult" except on the other end of the extreme. You count him out even though he's done well so far. Only 2 games, but at least try and take a neutral stance for now. Support the team. It sounds like you pretty much want him to fail just so you can say, "told you so". As I said, I was down on Chad as well, but he has given me no reason to doubt him so far this year. I'm going to root for him so long as he's the starter. Know what, if you want to sit by waiting for him to get hurt again, and gain some sort of vindication from it if or when it happens, knock youself out. It must be very miserable though.

He'll take a cut someday. That is the only part of your post that I was talking about.

i support the team. where we differ is that i do not believe he is the best option to win. he may be able to be a caretaker during the rebuild, but he is not the answer long-term. the cult talks like he's already won super bowls. he has actually not done well except for the colt game in 2002 and the pitt game in 2004.

Was it just Namath that won the superbowl? He could have won it without Snell, Maynard and Boozer? Just as Roethlisberger could have won it without Bettis, Ward and the Pittsburgh Defense in the same way Dilfer could have won it without the Ravens Defense........theres me thinking it was a team sport

This is what I was driving at with post 101. The Noodler sounds like those Bears fans from Saturday Night Live. Instead of Ditka taking on teams by himself, The Noodler uses similar lines and substitutes "Hasselbeck" and "Roethlisberger" and "Ol' Noodle Knees."

no one is rooting for him to get hurt again, but his followers talk like he's the ONLY chance we have to win. i do not agree. if he does get hurt, the other qbs may actually be better for the offense, assuming they get enough reps in practice.

    See 101, 109, and 111.

I try not to say an individual player beat a team. I know what you and The Noodler mean, but yeah I don't really like making such statements myself. Even when I saw individual players have huge games and "dominated" those games they did so with great help from teammates. (The first such performance that came to mind was Anthony Carter in the 1987 playoffs at San Francisco. Great example, too, because he didn't even score in that game.)

When Chad is in there, he wins. Even in 2004 with the cuff injury, he played through half the season with it, got us in the playoffs, and won against a favored team in their house. Then last year when he got hurt, he came back into the game and almost threw the game-winning TD. He couldn't change the fact that he got hurt, so he played through it until they took his helmet away. And he's still standing today. I'm sorry but I see no reason to go in another direction right now. My only concern with Chad is his health and if he's healthy, keep him in there.

there was a guy who was cut by the pats. everybody thought he was a bust.
he was signed by the raiders and sat for a year. the next year, he won a super bowl. name? jim plunkett.

ramsey can throw passes chad can only dream about. given enough reps and coaching, he could be better option long-term.
this year, they're rebuilding, so it won't really matter.
there are not going to be any playoff games for the jets.

In all honesty, do you just have something out for Chad?

Not even Champ blasts Chad they way you do...And he's the Darksider of Darksiders...

What's so horrible about the guy that you can't even root for the guy...2 shoulder surgeries and he's throwing just fine, on all passes...Did he do something to you?
