Chad was better then Brady in my opinion. Chad was under constant pressure and made some incredible step up scrambiling throws. That last INT should be wiped from the stats. He shouldn't have even been in for that play. Chad is a top 5 QB right now. Manning Brady Palmer Mcnabb Pennington
Lets just pencil in Chad for Canton tomorrow! Until those two SUPER plays by Coles and JC, the Jets were getting their collective asses handed to them on offense. But yeah, Chad played "lights out" to the tune of 24-0 NE but lets only focus on stats, not results... Like I said, lets just cast that Brass Bust of Chad right now and be done...
You're absolutely right. He should have thrown into the NE coverage that blanketed the sidelines. [/sarcasm]
Chad was very strong. He did have a couple of moments when he got happy feet in the face of a blitz, including the run out of bounds at the end of the first half.
He's also on pace to be sacked 48 times.....he'll eventually break in half if that pace continues, meaning we may see Clemens sooner than we think.
Bottom line is he's played like the quarterback that made all of us rush out to buy those #10 jerseys. Chad didn't start until his 3rd year in the league and when he did come in he was ready. The same should be the goal of how to handle Clemens. While Pennington is playing as well as anyone could ask their quarterback let him sit and learn.
Yes, the Jets were getting their asses handed to them, and part of that ass whipping was at the OL. Seems like it doesn't matter what Chad does by you or other bashers ....it's what he didn't do, and much can be due to the very unproven OL. Put ANY QB behind that line...can anyone expect any better results? And yes, those were super plays by Coles and JC - but how many, many more did Jerry Rice provide at the recieving end of Joe Montana passes?
Chad did have a good game. I know everyone is saying if it weren't for LC and Cotch, he did terrible. Uhm, no, he did great. He didn't cost us the game. How many times was he sacked? How many times did he fumble? How many times did he throw an interception? I think chad did the best he could do with what he was given. I mean the guy is getting the shit kicked out of him, and he still managed to throw for over three hundred yards and two td's. Well, as for L Coles and Jerricho, that's why You pay WR big bucks. To make big plays, and it's about time. Football is a team effort where you only win if everyone is going balls to the walls. It will be nice when every one gets it together.
I love how some of you ignore the fact that guys like Harrison and Wayne add a good 100 yards of YAC to Peyton Manning's numbers every Sunday. Also, how do you think Brady's racked up such high passing yards the past 4 or 5 years? Thanks to ALOT of YAC
First off Bomber, lets not mention Joe Montana and Chad Pennington in the same thread ok? Joe Montana is a HOF QB with SB rings and a career that's spanned years and is a legend. Chad still only has "potential" and no legacy to speak of. You really need to put the Chad juice down. What Chad didn't do was get the team on the scoreboard for 3 qtrs. Now you can overlook that if you want and that's your right to do so, but once the fog lifts, you might wanna give some thought to 24-0 NE. Those numbers won't change no matter how much Chad-Juice you wanna consume. One more time: 24-Zip NEW ENGLAND AT THE END OF 3 QTRS. Not even one lousy FG for the Jets. Nada man, zippo.. You can blame it on the OL and/or the lack of a running game which is valid. You can also blame it on the NE D, which the Jets weren't ready for at all and that too is valid. But noooo, you would much rather focus on how many passing yds Chad had and overlook two SUPER PLAYS by his WR's to make the game respectable not to mention make Chad's stats respectable instead of mediocre. I don't hate Chad. I don't particularly like him either. I don't drink the Chad-juice unlike some around here that seem to bathe in it. Take away Coles and JC's super human efforts and you have what? a mediocre day against a superior defense. So, if you want to make Chad the second coming of John Elway, by all means knock yourself out.. I'll pass for now...
it took two miracle plays by coles and cotchery to get the team into the end zone. meanwhile, there were no fumbles. but , two bonehead plays, like running out of bounds before the half and saving the pats time before the shanked punt. the audible to a qb sneak was another. he looks like bledsoe in new england in 2000-1 , before brady was ready to step in. hopefully, clemmens will have a fast learning curve also. :jets:
you do realize that the cult willl be flaming you for the rest of the week? wait until the bills get their hands on him! hmy: :shit:
I can take care of myself Mr.NYJ. Besides, I can't let you continue having all the fun with these guys..
