I love how some people (not just Big Blocker but others on both sides of the aisle) like to say who are Jet fans and who are not Jet fans. If you're here, wasting your time when you could be doing something more productive (myself included), and posting regularly here you are a Jet fan. Just because others disagree doesn't mean they aren't "real fans". I don't think anybody who thinks that Pennington has outplayed Favre so far this year isn't rooting for the Jets to win on Sunday. However, I will bet there are a lot of others who won't admit (even if Pennington plays significantly better than Favre on Sunday) that Pennington has had a better year over all. Me I hope that the Pats lose and the Jets win. It's as simple as that.

You are playing a semantic trick. It is not mere disagreement when some one or group of posters here both call themselves Jet fans and openly root for Miami to win this weekend. By definition such people are not Jet fans. They root for something more important to them than the Jets winning, and that would be the sign, the imprimatur, of a Chad Fan. Chad Fans by definition root for Chad, whoever he plas for. That's not a question of disagreement. It is the definition of a fan. Glad I cleared that up for you.

No Jets fan should root for the Jets to lose. If we do lose this Jets fan would prefer that the hated Fins get into the playoffs instead of the hated Pats. I'm not a fan of Pennington as the NY Jets QB because I think he is damaged goods. I still would gladly see him in the playoffs over the Pats should we lose on Sunday. There's a difference between not wanting Pennington as the NY Jets QB and hating the guy.

What a stupid blog. Unless the Jets are out of it, any fan who roots for Pennington and the Dolphins isn't a Jet fan. It's one thing to like Chad, and even dislike Favre, but you don't root against your team with the playoffs on the line, no matter the circumstances.
There are plenty on this site who have said they will be rooting for Chad and the Dolphins to beat the Jets Sunday. It's madness.
