Excellent news. Now he becomes a risk, and if it pays off, good for us and Chad. If he doesn't work out, so be it. If we draft a QB, and Chad turns out to be fine, then we can trade the other QB in 3 years like the Chargers. If Chad is no good, then he will be our starter next season. I think this is a win-win for the Jets and Chad. Good work.
he didnt have a choice. to get cut would have ended his career because he had no market. so he takes the cut and gets to stay on the jets isnt exactly a sacrifice
Great news. This makes total sense. Chad at a reduced rate is a much better gamble to take than anything currently on the free agent market. If he can't come back, the team won't be hurt badly financially.
