The Jets have played in a venue not hospitable to QB's for a long time. If you look at the Giants, who shared the same stadium, they've also had mainly second-tier QB's over the timespan the Jets have been in Jersey.

Eli Manning is finally breaking through but it took him 8 years to be seen as a tier 1 QB. Before that the last good Giants QB was Phil Simms and nobody really saw him as tier 1.

There have been three QB's in the last twenty years or so who have been great in real winter weather: Brett Favre, Tom Brady and now Aaron Rodgers. Obviously the Packers know something about building cold-weather teams at this point. Brady is just a random freak I think. Right team, right place, right time.

what difference does it make what Blount cost them? He's better than Greene or LT at this stage.

Winslow through 12 games this year has more recs than Keller has ever had in a season and more yds than all but 1 season

Mike Williams had 2 less TDs last year than Holmes & Edwards combined.

The Ol that has a RB that averages almost 5 YPC? they must be terrible, much worse than the OL we have seen this year for the Jets:lol:

OK.. You Win.. The Bucs have an arguably Better OL and running game the past 3 years than the Jets....

And Mike Williams and whoever else is arguably better than Holmes, Edwards, Cotchery, Plax.

And broken down Winslow who is on the injury report more often than not is better than our stud TE.

I feel a lot better now...

and Eli is not a top tier QB

Not past 3 years but 2 of the 3 years they have run much better than we have.

Broke down Winslow is better than Keller is now

Mike Williams puts up better #s, I don't think he's better but he's a good WR.

Step off the ledge and look at things logically here.

Hahaha, I knew this would be a dilemma for you, who to hate more?

PS--How's Kellen Clemens doing in Houston?

    2nd paragraph describes Sanchez

You can keep your opinion about Freeman.

Sanchez has better numbers and a worse supporting cast than when he was a rookie or sophomore. If we continue to build properly and protect his right side, we can win in December and January his entire career.

Logically, the Jets have been considered to have one of the Best OL's in the game at least 2 of 3 years and have outrushed TB by over 1500 yards!!!!!!!

Never even mentioned Thomas Jones and how Sanchez stepped into THE BEST running game in the NFL in year 1.

Then you want to put up Mike Williams, TB's #1 WR who has never had 1000 yards vs the entire core of WR"s the Jets have spent a ton on.

The deeper we get and the more you want to praise Blount, Williams and Winslow, it just makes me sicker thinking the Jets should have saved those draft picks and picked up scrap heap guys like Blount and whatever WR's they can find.

So, now not only do I think Sanchez is inadequate but, you're pointing out how the Front office is also blowing it.

Both QB's have shown some big faults this point in their career. They are both having average to below average years with some great moments thrown in.

The fact is that QB is a tough position and both of them have a big upside will they get there that remains to be seen. They do not give you a lot of chances in the NFL and even less in NY.

Lets not throw the kid out just yet. Criticize him when he sucks but give him chance this team needs him to pan out. The next two years will determine if he is an average or very good QB.

LOL.. One day, Mark too will show compassion towards the next mediocre, weak armed, limited Jets QB when the Fans turn on him?

You may be older. Could see things more clearly. To me, I was a 15 year old watching Chad enter the Jets starting lineup, dominate, take the Jets to a division title and a 41-0 win over Peyton Manning. It was great times. 03 he got hurt, 04 playoff win in SD including a bomb to Santana Moss, 05 he was hurt, and 06 led a bad team to the playoffs. I get why some fans did not like him though.

Pennington is clueless. Mark's arms are too long.

2009 w/o a doubt, last year and this year? Nope.

    Last year:

    LT/Greene: 4.16 YPC
    Blount: 5 YPC

    This year:

    LT/Greene: 3.96 YPC
    Blount: 4.4

Sanchez did have a huge edge w/ the running game in 2009 but he also had expectations to win from day 1. Freeman had a 10 win team w/ high expectations coming into this year and failed miserably w/ expectations to win for the first time.

Our FO has assembled a team that has been on the doorstep of the SB the last 2 years, I'm ok w/ them.

I think what Chad is saying is that playing QB in New York sucks. He's right.

No doubt. Many QB's cannot handle it. I think Sanchez can. Not sure Stafford or Freeman could. Aaron Rodgers could. Haha.

Sanchez is 30-19 since taking over as Jet's QB. It's sucking for him even when he does win. Sanchez winning percentage is the best in franchise history for a QB. For that he gets people screaming at him about how bad his play is.

If he wasn't winning close games at the end he'd already be on his way out of town. Even though most QB's tend to lose, and lose close games at the end, until they settle in.

Peyton Manning was 28-24 in his first three seasons and 0-2 in the playoffs including playoff losses where his teams scored 16 and 17 points...

That's b/c they aren't winning as much as was expected coming into this season and we have fans that are already spoiled w/ success even though we haven't won a title(rex's boasts play into this).

I don't hate Sanchez by any stretch. I just think he's disappointing at this point of his career. He has his fans here who totally overrate him and give him a pass on things he is not good at and that are his fault. But that's on them, not him. But I don't hate or even dislike Sanchez in the least. I just think it's starting to look like he won't reach the talent level commensurate with his draft pick and contract.

I didn't hate Chad either, although I did hold it against him that he always liked to talk about how much he cared about the team, all the while he was grossly overpaid and at a couple of points groused about pay cuts and being benched when he totally deserved both. Again it was more the Chad Fans such as yourself who elevated him over the team itself who I, well, not hated so much as found obnoxious and not well informed about the game of football.

AR sat behind Favre for three years. If he started out of college in NY he would have been run out of town.

Did you see his mechanics coming out of college.
