I havent seen anywhere, where it was said Jo Pa actually said that. The only place I have even seen it mentioned was in this thread, where I believe (and i could very easily be wrong) that poster was talking about his opinion of the subtext of what he was actually saying, and not what was actually said. If he did, then you are right, he may have lost his freaking mind. But as I have been watching sports newscasting all day, I feel that if he had actually been heard saying that, he would have villified on tv today for it, and rightfully so if he did say it.

GG - I don't have a problem with Paterno - as long as he is serving as coach - telling his players to focus on beating Nebraska on the practice field or in the LR, but it's hideous to even mention the game when you are serving as the public face of the university while on camera considering what has happened.
