In 2018. They get the pick in 2017. If Collins had another year, they could have gotten more, but the Browns only get him for 8 games, unless they want to pay him the Von Miller bucks he wants or use the franchise tag on him.

It goes back to the AFCCC when he let Daniels beat him twice (the only 2 TDs Denver scored). I think they are tired of his act and he is gone after the season, so get something now. Hightower and Butler are the top priorties.

I loved his game last year, but after opening day this year.he's been average tat best.

Hightower has been the best player on the defense since 2014 started, with Collins, we certainly had a top 2 duo that probably only Davis and Kuechly could match, but since the 2015 AFCCG Collins hasn't been playing at the same level.

The defense has always suffered far more with just Collins vs just Hightower on the field.

Collins also lost the start yesterday to rookie LB Elandon Roberts who has played like a complete stud while Collins was nursing injuries this season. In addition to acquiring Van Noy last week and Mingo just before the season, they have added quite a few terrific athletes to the roster to dampen the blow.

Collins is still a fantastic player when his game is on though.

And Collins wanting to start negotiations at Von Miller money just means the Pats basically just accelerated the 3rd round pick by 12 months, he turned down 11m/yr from the Pats and they weren't going to find an acceptable middle ground between 11m and 19m.

Sobering move. I don't particular like losing such a great piece to the defense, but I understand it, to an extent, and while Roberts isn't Collins (yet? maybe in a year or 2), he's possibly played better for the last 3 weeks than Jamie has and it is making the trade easier to absorb.

But, but, but without Collins how will the Patriots cover the Jets tight ends?

I wonder if it was an even bigger F U to Collins to trade him away to the worst team in the league too. I guess Cleveland is going to give him the ridiculous money he wants, otherwise an 0-8 team traded for an 8 game rental?

He's a good player but if he's truly doing his own thing out there and isn't a team first player, the Browns just did themselves a disservice.

Same guy who covers almost all the TE's we face, Patrick Chung, who has been excellent in the role since his return to New England after spending an atrocious year in Philly.

Edit: And I know, the correct answer was "what tight ends?"

Until I saw your last sentence I thought you were having difficulty reading the sarcasm meter.
