I don't care how much money you make, a $500k fine hurts. I was glad they lost a first rounder (potentially I guess, but they will make the playoffs). Yesterday we were hearing a 2 and a 5 might be lost which i thought was weak. Losing one of the #1 picks makes me feel better for sure.
Punishment? 6-10 million dollars to give a FA ( a known quantity, instead of risking it on a draft pick??????) AYFKM??????
Wow, Goodell punks out big time. I'm really disappointed. He should have at least suspended BSlob one game to top it off, made him sit out with a dunce cap on instead of that filthy, smelly, hoody thing with the nasty urine soaked fleece sleeves. Utter garbage. Goodell had his opportunity to make a solid point, and he doesn't even throw a limp-wristed punch? Just when you think you're not going to be let down, BAM!, a truck runs over your puppy. Just like always.
while i think there should have been a suspension,i guess the taint on their franchise is the real punishment. They are the garbage of the nfl and the admiration is gone.
The first round pick is appropriate, but fines are trivial. It'll probably just come out of his special lady-friend's allowance anyway. Belichick should have been suspended for a few games instead.
Well, how can you exect Gooddell to take a bite out of NE when he has a mouth full of Kraft's cheese....
...........taken right out of the pats fat ass...is it starting to hurt a little knowing your hero's arrogance have led them sacrificing their morals for a game...
LOL If you had the chance, you would trade your Rat for our cheater in a heartbeat. We wouldn't make that trade. Don't deny it.
While the penalty is a bit of a joke without a suspension of Belichick, at least we won't hear the about the Patriots, "doing things the right way" anymore. Unfortunately, I think the punishment is actually encouragement for teams to cheat when it matters most. If you are in the AFC Championship game (which means you probably have a bottom 6 pick in the first round of the draft) wouldn't it be worth it to cheat to get to the Super Bowl? Give up a 1st rounder...fine. Pay $500K that I would easily make up in endorsements after the Super Bowl...sure.
