I just realized this rumor had already been posted on the TGG's NFL board...sorry for the duplication.

but it does raise an interesting question...If he is available, do we want him?

I personally hate the SOB and am very happy with the receivers we have. That said,...i dunno

Hopefully they'll cut Moss as well. Harrison is out and chances are Meriweather will either get shot or arrested in the next week or so.

Vinny can probably go to Jacksonville and be their starter...seriously.

I dont think Moss plays week 1 either. or if he does, I do not see him being very effective.

    Don't trade McCareins, trade Moss.

Haha I'm watching the replay of the pats preseason game vs. the giants right now. Vinny is in and actually looks sharp, be it he is against 2nd stringers, but he can still throw the strong and relatively accurate ball at his age.

So no Seymour or Harrison week 1. This certainly helps us out a lot. Makes Brick and Benders life a lot easier not having to deal with Seymour who when healthy might be the best lineman in the NFL. Getting Harrison out is nice to, he's a really good player, but at least we all know he's a big time cheater. He's probably been taking HGH for years.

    A. Samuel also just cameback from his holdout so hes not in the greatest shape as well as not going to know every play in the playbook.

    Seymour on PUP

Not strictly Jets related, but it impacts our week one game

Patriots place Seymour on PUP list, cut Testaverde
    Associated Press

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots activated tight end David Thomas off the physically unable to perform list and released 21 players Saturday, including quarterback Vinny Testaverde, who at 43 would have been entering his 21st season in the NFL.

New England also placed defensive lineman Richard Seymour on the physically unable list. He is out for a minimum of six weeks.

He's on PUP reserve isn't he? That means that he's definitely out for our game
