Not to mention that's with fewer picks than the Pats have had. He's listing about half of the picks used, and even some of the listed ones are questionable. Minus players acquired via trade, I'll take our drafts over theirs in the past 3 years any day of the week. It's not even as close as he'd like to think.

    FUCK THE PATRIOTS.

End of discussion (clearly my arguments are the most thorough and well-thought in this thread).

27 wins in last 2 regular seasons and last year subbing a backup QB for a Pro Bowler.

Can't hit home runs on every pick, but enough to stay ahead of the AFC East is fine.

6 picks in top 97 this year. Holy Cow Batman !

    Jets defense > Pats Defense

    Pats offense>>> Jets offense

The Jets have drafted well, but your less picks mantra is still unbelievably stupid as it is based on total picks not quality of picks, the impact players the Jets got were pretty much all 1st and second rounders, and higher ones than the Patriots had in each year. The Patriots bulk in picks the last 3 years have been in late rounders, which are pretty much worthless when it comes to immediate impact players

Immediate impact players are usually, but not always, top half of first round and top picks in their position.

Since Patriots were usually picking in the bottom half of the round, they wouldn't necessarily be getting impact players especially since their roster was pretty much set to begin with. How many rookies do you think could improve a 16 win team? Even last year's 11 wins was done by coaching and a quality backup QB.

Pats won't use all 11 picks this draft. They will bundle to move up and probably trade out into next year. They don't have alot of glaring holes to fill. A LB,CB,OL,DL would just about do it and that would be just the Patriot's first day's picks. Expect to see BB trade one of his second round picks for a first rounder next year or Maybe he takes his 3rd rounder at #89 and converts it to a second rounder next year. He'll still have that pick for Asante at #97 which he can't trade.

Of course the jets draft is going to look better than the pats for the last 3 years. mangini and tanny turned the entire roster over. If your going to go that route. you should base it on bb's/pioli first 3 drafts. Bottom line is the pats didnt need to tyrn the roster over. All they needed was to fill in the gaps

This is your classic "The rich get richer"

I can see NE packaging a bunch of these picks and jump a few slots up in the draft and steal someone away from another team.

I could see them even move up into the top 7 and grab one of those big named O-line men. BB works in weird ways and I put NOTHING past him and ANYTHING can happen in the draft.

or Don Blackmon, Ronnie Lippet, Irving Fryer maybe Stanley Morgan. You jet fans think that most Pats fans only started watching football since 1994. I can assure you most Pats fans especially in the new england area have been die hard fans for a while now
