What's interesting is this is how most Jets fans sounded when the Pats got Moss, basically saying Moss was a bum.
If the Jets take care of business over the second quarter of the season, that game should prove to be the biggest game here on out, also assuming the Patsies are playing well, too. Jets have won two in a row in Foxboro. A win on 11/22 and... Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Heh.
Yeah but no more than usual. And hey, everyone who responded - yes, I know Plax has a ring. And I know where he got it. But that doesn't change the fact that he's presently catching the wrong kind of passes, and they're not from Eli Manning.
lol theres like two reasonable posts and a whole lot of wishful thinking on their part. lol i saw some of our own board members trying to talk sense into them. i decided not to waste my time that board seems moronic.
Absolutely and without a doubt true. The Jets are the threat. I think the only thing holding Edwards back is... Edwards. If he can get his act together off the field, this trade will end up being an enormous steal. He's a potential difference-maker, a guy other teams will have to game-plan for, and anytime you have a guy like that, it opens up everything. I also think the person who should (and maybe will) be happiest about this is Dustin Keller. The deep seams between the numbers just opened way, way up for him.
The best thing about the Edwards trade is that the guy doesn't even have to do much to make a difference. Just his presence on the field opens it up for everyone else.
the most logical take on this situation from an opposing fan. congrats. even though I hate the pats
Credit where credit is due... the Jets made a good move with this. Any Pats fan who tells you it wasn't is responding emotionally. It's more interesting when there's a rivalry within the division. Not to sound like a d-bag, but aside from last year, the division has been a virtual lock for NE for the past decade. The resurgence of the Jets makes it a lot funner to watch, IMO.
lol your preaching to the choir I thought the same thing when I watched you guys hose the raiders for Randy.
Hahaha, after reading that Patsfans thread, I had to laugh, some of them are saying that this trade is proof that the Jets tampered with Crabtree because of the timing of the 49ers signing. Wishful thinking, the Pats will never get that 1st round draft pick back! HAHAHAHA
Oh come on now... it's not like Gang Green here is a book club. A good number of people here probably think "Moby Dick" is a venereal disease...
Oh there's no doubt BB has taken full advantage of Al Davis' deepening senility. The recent exchange probably went something like this... BB: "Okay Al, we'll give you Seymour and you give us a first round pick in 2011." AD: "Hmm, I don't know Bill." BB: "Tell you what... in addition to giving you Seymour for that first rounder, I'll fly out to Oakland, come to your office, and kick you square in the nuts." AD: "Okay, DEAL!!!"
i think that deal is a steal for you guys if they have a rookie salary cap and CBA agreement in place by 2011 (and i expect it) but if you guys have another Chad Jackson pick and not another Mayo it will be an epic fail. im not pointing one way or the other this could very well be a move that points back to the Pats re-establishing their foundation. or it could very well be a huge mistake. then again draft picks are educated crap shoots.
