I think they probably had them rated closely. Knowing Belichek, he took McCourty because he doesn't talk as much, might fit a zone scheme better and has less of an entourage.
Look. Even last year's AFCE crown belonged to you guys. Like forever. True, playoffs are a totally different beast, but if you get to the playoff, it's SB or bust; you don't get a damn thing if you fall short. Thus, after all the bravado and all that, last year's Jets ended up with... yeah. Nothing. And that means... yeah.
