    Just goes to show how deep talentwise those monsters are.

    That is a lot of cuts and superstars the Pats are taking a chance on!

    May mean nothing, but Branch's stuff is still in his locker. Resign after week 1 so the contract isn't guarenteed?

    Also, Brian waters has still not shown up.

    The good news, his locker is still assigned to him and his new pads are all stocked in the locker.

    The bad news, they gave his number 54 (Bruschi's old number) to Hightower.

    Basically, if he isn't at practice Wednesday when they practice their gameplan for the Titans, I suspect he won't be in at all.

    Definitely some surprising cuts. I think the writing was on the wall for Koppen but the others were kind of shocking. I guess when you figure that the Pats will play a huge percentage of 2 TE sets (best strategy anyway, since you can run out of those sets), they don't need a lot of depth at WR, but even with the trade for Greg Salas there isn't much behind Welker and Lloyd.

    Word is either Branch or Gaffney will be back. Maybe both. I guess we'll see.
