Interesting take from a former Pat and teammate of Cam's on probability of NE success. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...new-qb-might-have-playing-for-bill-belichick/
PFT is reporting he's being named the starter. I don't know what to make of it. Could he really be back? Ay yai yai it never ends with that team. I can't believe he won the job only being there not even two months. I can't imagine them running the same offense they ran with Brady with Cam. He's a completely different style of QB. Can his body still take the pounding? We'll find out in a few days.
I still don't see how this works for them if he's asked to run the Brady offense. I can't imagine Cam dissecting defenses with his arm the way Brady did so many times. That's not his game. They'll have to run a drastically different style of offense. He's a running QB but at this point it's doubtful his body can take that pounding. So because of that and the late timing of his signing to me it looks like a PR stunt. That said I'm open to the possibility of them somehow making it work because they're the Patriots and they've had a rabbit's foot up their behinds since 2001.
