Why are you guys pining so hard to pay 12 million for a DB to cover a bunch of number twos? Honest question, I don't the the Nnamdi love from you guys. It's complete overkill. Cro holds his own against almost all the league's number one's, you telling me he can't handle the number twos for half the price?
so all of those players are going to be playing alongside Ocho, he won't be replacing one of them? you're right, that will be trouble. good luck with those 6 receiver sets. idiot.

Eli Manning, Giants (96.1 passer rating, 14 TDs, 6 INTs) 7. Drew Brees, Saints (95.5 passer rating, 7 TDs, 3 INTs) 8. Josh Freeman, Buccaneers (94.6 passer rating, 12 TDs, 5 INTs) 9. Philip Rivers, Chargers (94.3 passer rating, 9 TDs, 6 INTs) 10. Joe Flacco, Ravens (92.8 passer rating, 10 TDs, 3 INTs)
not as good of a job as you are at topping my stupidity apparently. but, of course, that's what Pat fans are good at.
He'll take whatever time Edelman saw on the field. I'd say that's a huge upgrade. Now, Edelman can be the primary kick returner and have the occasional reverse. The depth of the team in that area just got much deeper adding a player the caliber of Ochocinco. Ocho is just what a Patriots WR needs to be in their scheme: an excellent route runner. He also brings them an outside receiver who can runs those timing routes outside the numbers. Outside of a Calvin Johnson/Andre Johnson caliber WR, he's the next best thing. And he cost 2 late round picks.
I'm not even a Pats fan. The only pony I have in this race is that I hate the Pats and the Jets. Still, I'm not so stupid to think it's irrelevant. You know, Davis shut down Ocho too, but that doesn't make me dumb enough to say "who cares, Vontae owns ocho".
Let's not get carried away here and call Ocho an elite route runner. He may be one of the worst "#1" route runners in the league. He has a reputation in Cinci for tacking on Carson's INT column for improvising routes.
Edelman didn't see that much time last year... I think Brandon Tate and Deion Branch will both see less action.
I think this is a good move for the Pats, I still think Ocho has got something left in the tank and I could see him having a big year there with Brady.
