Two late round picks, one in 2012, one in 2013 according to Schefter on twitter. No specifics.

Adding Ochocinco isnt going to help keep Brady protected in the pocket. If you get Brady moving around back there he isnt the same type of player.

Our cover skills are excellent anyway. If they were adding somebody like Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson it would be a game changer simply because Revis would have to cover them all game and it would help free up other guys.

His 104 passer rating against the blitz speaks something different. This is a pretty damn big deal, and to downplay it because "we have revis" will be an egregious mistake.

Probably because Ocho didn't threaten them. They're just making an example out of Palmer.

A retarded example. Kolb went for a 2nd and a pro-bowl corner. They can get at least a 2nd for Palmer. Denver is playing hard to get and Miami knows they will have to release Orton so they're playing chicken. Cinci could probably screw Denver over by asking for a 2nd or 3rd for Palmer.

Anyone can put pressure on a QB when you send everything and the kitchen sink

I want to see them pressure with just 4 for once!
We have NO ONE who can win a 1on1 match on the Dline

It will be a bit of a boost for Chad to play with Brady, but Revis will be waiting for him.....he never did change his name after Revis shut him down.

You make it sound like this is the first time the Patriots added a fast receiver with great hands that can stretch the field and open up everything underneath for rest of the other receivers on that team.

Exactly, Chad is not as good as Moss, and let's face it, Chad is on the downside of his career.

I don't know if I understand this one. This looks sort of like a slightly better version of the Fred Taylor acquisition.

no, it will be a big deal for everyone else the Pats play. but if Johnson can't beat Revis it does nothing for the pats against the Jets. to believe that a corner making a WR irrelevant is an egregious mistake is just f'ing stupid.

I'm not downplaying it. Revis can only cover one man per play. But Brady is a different QB when he is being hit back there and taken off his game like most QB's are. I never said he couldnt pick up a blitz. But when you make him uncomfortable back there he struggles. Look at game 2 of the 2009 season as evidence.

Ocho is a good player and will help the Pats out. But he is not a top flight wide receiver anymore in my opinion. Maybe he has just suffered from poor play by Carson Palmer, who knows? But assuming we bring in another high level CB I think we will be ok.

Holy fuck this makes the Pats 10 wr/te/rb formations all the more deadly, how the fuck are the Jets going to compete against that.

I usually give Jets fans the benefit of the doubt for not being completely fucking retarded. They added a starter, and a damn good one. Revis shutting down a WR isn't irrelevant, Revis being occupied by a WR that wasn't there 6 hours ago is relevant. It's a big deal, even for the Jets, because now Revis will be covering Ocho as opposed to covering Welker or Tate, or whoever. Looking over the fact that acquiring ocho doesn't open up for other receivers against the jets is egregious. Don't be so fucking dense.

If the Jets don't get another corner it might be an issue. Otherwise it will probably be another season split. The Jets did so well shutting down the Pats because they had the help of Cro, as of right now Revis is the only nightmare in the secondary.
