Well, with the 6 blockers, who are they taking? One of the better advantages to the 3-4 is that it is hard to tell where the pressure is comming from. Rushing both outside Linebackers? Both right side guys? Both left? No one? Bring jsut one guy? 6 Blockers is not going to get it done every play. Yes, you will eat up some yeardage going 4 wide all the time, but also leave yourself open to some big plays by the defense. We've proven to both give up lots of yards in the air and make big plays against the pass. I'd welcome the sight.

Yea, the Run D is pretty freakin' dominant, so passing is really their only option. We're getting a lot of sacks (4th in the league?) but I wonder if our sack rate (sacks per pass play) is quite that high. Jenkins really needs to be rushing the passer on 3rd down instead of taking those plays off. We seem to get more sacks when he's taking on two guys. It's also nice not giving the opposing QB the middle passing lane since that's where the TE and our LBs that can't cover are. My hope is that as we force more teams to be one-dimensional, we can start teeing off the QB and get more turnovers.

strong running the ball and strong against the run... that's been the recipe for success in this league for a long time.

Our pass defense is 24th in the league, yet we are high on takeaways and sacks.
