Imagine we still had QB issues with no Sanchez and we still had Clemens, Ainge, whoever else was back there? This board would be filled with Carson Palmer threads.
Or Cam Newton threads after our 3 win season. I thank the Jets every day for having the QB position set during Tim Tebow's draft class. TGG would have been unbearable.
I think we should get Jamarcus Russell and Vince Young, and have them play alternating downs. We'd be unstoppable.
Holy fuck, all the band-wagoner's around here would have jumped on the Jets ship. I couldn't have handled that.
hmmm, so I guess he'll sit out when whatever team he ends up on plays on the road against the Bengals? Or maybe if they don't trade him, he can play all the road games.
Well what I took away from that his preferred destination is one of the two nfc teams that played @ cin in 2010 who won't return there for 8 years at which point I'm sure he'll be off the team
There's still people here who think Clemens just needs a fair chance. I was thinking that, too. Kind of like the people in 2008 who said "Brett Favre will never play in that new stadium".
I'm with you. Let's face it,Cinncy has a reputation for being cheap and not bringing in the players needed to get them to the playoffs, let alone a championship. Keeping Marvin Lewis as HC also speaks volumes about their decision making so i'm not blaming Palmer for wanting out at all.
Bengals will never win with their current FO setup. Mike Brown needs to build up an actual scouting program, hire a GM, and some actual football people instead of family members. Palmer gave it his best in Cincy, and recognizes it will never happen. I'm sure its no longer fun for him, and everyone involved needs a change over there. They need to rebuild from top on down.
