All i know is the cardinals message board is laughing at us. Could've used this money on Gholston/cornerback.

His remarks were well measured, positive, mature and intelligent. He will be an absolute beast on the Jets.

I am so impressed with how the FO has addressed the team's weak points this off season. I believe we have legitimate cause to be optimistic.

This makes no sense....we can still have Gholston and/or a corner.

Obviously PAUL SCHWARTZ doesn't like the price tag on him. I guess he's entitled to his opinion. I love how the media loves to grind guys before they even set foot on the field. Slim pickins I guess. The guy just got here. At least wait till mini camp to ask a guy if he's worth it. 'Everybody says your overrated. What do you think?' I guess it's a fair question but damn, he's on notice already? Welcome to New York.

More Possible is Schwarts does not UNDERSTAND, or WANT TO REPORT, the price tag on him. That takes away from the news value.

The simple fact is, over the next two seasons Pace will make less money than Coles, who (while being paid top 5 salary for his position) is bitching.

Pace's Bonus pays out at 3.6666 per year. He also gets salaries of 1,1,2 mil. The money Looks bigger than what it is, because they keep reporting the SB as if it's one year money (which coles seems to think it is....:rofl2:)

Yea i was thinking same exact thing- Our defense can be money if we grab Gholston 1 and a cornerback in round 2

How does a Cardinals fan justify calling us pitiful?

Seriously. To post one line from his interview completely out of context is a great way to start a discussion. Or maybe just a great way to troll.

I don't think anyone before or after we got Pace thought he was going to be a savior. How about 10 sacks , buddy.

I dont like how he comes across in this article- He seems too humble or modest or lacking in confidence. But I think itll be alrite- our defense will have lots of playmakers next year (If we go Ghloston, cornerback in first 2 rounds) No pressure on him

Why dont you post the whole quote? Jeez...

"My goal is to do my part," Pace said yesterday. "I'm not going to sit here and make any predictions about what I'm gonna do and how strong I'm gonna make the team. I'm just one guy, I'm not the savior. The one-year wonder thing, I can't really comment on that. People will say what they want to say. [The Jets] did their research on me, they know how I fit in, it isn't like they just took a chance. They did research on things that I had forgot about in my past. That's one reason I choose them."

"That probably really has been the biggest thing throughout my career, since I was nine years old," Pace said. "In today's game the 3-4 is really helping out guys like myself, give us the opportunity to rush off the edge and help in your drops, give the offense a different look. Playing in the league nowadays you're playing tackles who are 6-7, 350 and been to eight Pro Bowls. It's hard to sit up and rush from a 4-3 game in and game out. When I was playing the 4-3 in Arizona I had to face Walter Jones, Orlando Pace in their prime, it's hard. It's easier once you can sit and try to work some matchups, give 'em different looks."

"Honestly, the money never really crossed my mind, it was more just where am I going to end up," Pace said. "I guess nowadays free agency is about the big money. For me, I just took it as I didn't know where I was going to go. I felt like the whole process was like going to a new high school. That was unsettling for me. The money was going to be what it was going to be."

All I know is Parcells wanted Pace badly, and thats enough to make me think this is a good signing.
