How is he a better pass catcher? Cook has 76 career catches for 873 yards vs. Fournette with 41 catches for 526 yards in their careers. Cook is also a lot more fluid out of the backfield whereas Fournette does not have the ability to turn his hips as well. He's a more dynamic runner, but the running style of Fournette will force him into a lot more injuries because he won't be running over NFL linebackers like he does in college. Some teams start linebackers as small as 205 pounds like Jabrill Peppers. That doesn't happen in the NFL. Fournette is a once in a lifetime talent. I'd be interested in his character although we obviously won't be in the interview rooms. I could be off base with the Clowney comparisons but the once in a lifetime talents aren't always once in a lifetime players. I hope I'm wrong as we may very well take him.
I'm not sure how they determine their receiving grades, but Fournette is a better pass catcher than his stats indicate. You have to realize that he played in an offense that looked to push the ball down the field when they were looking to throw the ball, and he also played with an incredibly terrible QB in Harris. Also, from everything I've read and heard about him, Fournette will receive high marks for his character and work ethic.
