+1. Rumor has it that Cleveland is looking heavily at Sanchez. If Seattle takes Crabtree, Cleveland takes Sanchez...where does Raji fall to? In other words, how far up would we have to go?

The Jets will trade up or down and grab some guy that most of us have never heard of at an unexpected position and he'll wind up being really good.

Umm, like, the time to do that was last year and stuff.

The Jets had the 6th pick in the draft last year. I think it would have been easier to trade up last year than it is this year.

I was hoping the Jets would trade up to 2 or 3 to draft Matt Ryan. I wrote about it around this time a year ago. Alas, the Falcons wanted Ryan. Part of it was also that the Jets either didn't want Ryan (in other words, they were stupid) or maybe did try to trade up with the Rams or Falcons, but were rebuffed.

Stay put and take Moreno or BPA. This is a deep draft so in Round 2 we can address WR or DB and still get a quality guy. Barring any Front office meltdowns, we should be able to get 2 guys that can contribute to our team right away.

Any other good pickups after that (rounds 3-7) are just gravy and we've had a good draft.

Too many holes to give up the few draft picks we have.

    Hoping for Moreno.

    I hate Qb's.

Running game and defense, that's it.

I like a few of the scenarios, I like the thought of trading down and picking up some picks, i like staying and grabbing a RB or WR (Moreno or Heyward-Bey), and it ordipends what the trade was for Quinn, but if it's a 2nd or better a 3rd and Smith i would like that as well, same with Campbell.

After thinking about them though, my favourite scenario is trading down to grab some picks, and hopefully still ending with a Moreno or Heyward-Bey. least liked scenario is trading up for Sanchez. Horrible thought IMO.

Ideally, we use our 2nd to get Brady Quinn then trade down and take Kenny Britt or Nicks while recouping a 2nd.

THAT is the exact reason you SHOULD draft Raji. We should be drafting for 2010. If you have a spot of NEED this season you have a very small chance of filling that need with a rookie. However, knowing that Jenkins, while a force, is getting fragile THIS is the time to get a guy behind him to learn from and be able to spell him in the rotation late in the season.

I'm so tired of the phrase FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK. Did Chad become the Franchise QB he should have? YEAH for the Dolphins. Was Tom Brady the Franchise pick? For every Peyton Manning there are 10 Ryan Leafs.

The best chance we have of getting weapons is to trade down and get some extra picks. Short of that we should grab someone who has a chance of getting on the field and contributing late in the season who will be able to grow into a FORCE in year 2. (I'm hoping that Gholsten becomes a force this season)
