God I hope that Saxton guy replaces Cumberland. We have the worst TE corps in the league.

Keyshawn Johnson, Wayne Chrebet, and Dedric Ward? That 1998 season was pretty special...

I give it little to no shot. PS guy for sure. Let's say we keep 6:

    Marshall
    Decker
    Smith
    Kerley
Evans (personally believe he has a role)
    Hakim (need speed)

All depends on camp though really. Hes just very unimpressive.

    I'm pulling for Enunwa. He's a beast.

and let's not sleep on devier posey. look I know he's not a star or anything, but he will play a nice situational possession role for us. probably be used in RZ too occasionally.

that's true...posey will fight with evans and hakim.. BUT we could easily carry 6 WR depending on how many RB we carry. plus I think theres a chance we carry stacy as our FB.

Why do I feel like a guy who wanted out of his last situation because of a lack of carries wouldn't be all that down with being kept on his next team as a fullback? Regardless, I think it will be 6 WR and 3RB on the roster. Could be 7 WR considering Gailey is our OC

I guess this is going to be the theme on stacy "the guy who wanted out of his last situation"

I know we don't use a FB, I'm saying we could list him as a FB and use the roster spot.

That's the theme because that's what happened. I don't blame the guy. If he stayed in St Louis he would be out of the league in a year rather than signing a new deal in two years. That's why I don't think he is going to be content with anything less than 10 touches a game and in this offense with two power runners better than him on the roster, I don't see that happening.

As for WR it's really gonna depend on Evans in camp. I think he's a lynchpin. He supposedly looked good in voluntary OTAs and definitely has the tools to be a solid WR. If he has himself a good camp, it's gonna be really hard for guys like Enunwa and Posey to make the roster.

I think stacy just saw this as he had ZERO chance to play ever in Stl....I wouldn't put a touch count on it.

As for WR, I would not mind someone making it hard for someone else to make the team. that's the ideal!

I actually think the Posier trade will give us some clue as to Mac's eye for talent.

He was there in Houston, saw the guy and decided THAT was the guy he was going to trade a draft pick for.

If he flames out I guess we could write it off. But if he becomes a real player?!?

We'd have to tip our caps to Mac.

Agreed with all the positive commentary here. Best since 2010. Probably better. Still, it comes down to he QB position. Smith has no problem putting the ball on the field -- he's just got to figure out which guys to throw to while under pressure (even if it's phantom pressure). Hopefully, having these talented WRs will make it easier for him to remember who's on his team.
