We can win in Minnesota. Problem is, we go to Miami after that. The amount of pressure Jason Taylor and the rest of the Dolphins put on Brady yesterday is way too excessive for what they'll need against us. They can cut it back by 50% and still force Chad to throw 3-4 INT's.
i wouldnt sleep o minnesota they have the best run d in the league.. that already cancels all our rbs:wink: chad gonna have to do alot of work that game. if he cant go off in the dome then chad will offcially be useless cause then we will be out the playoff run and he will probably be somewhere around 17-18 ints.
Benigno said right there that changed it for the Jets...I'll paraphrase. For a guy who's style has completely changed the outlook of the Jets with his coaching demeanor. Going for it 12 times this year, including against the Texans on his own 39. And for Mangini to pretty much turn into Herm because, maybe, he saw that the Jets were in the playoff race, seeing the clippings, and played NOT TO LOSE.
One thing that should help the Jets out against the Vikings is that ole giraffe neck is probably even worse then Pennington at this stage in his career.
That defense is good, but the Dolphins had their high point of the season yesterday. Looking at the way they played yesterday (over there heads) and the way we played...you'd figure it would be a white washing. Everything goes out the window when these two teams play though, records, momentum. Mangini is going to figure something out and Chad is not going to have one of those lame duck INT's fumble everytime he gets hit games. And don't forget home field advantage FOR US. Especially if we win next week and the game means something. and don't forget Joey Harrington. He can give us the game himself.

We lost or had no gain on about 10 runs yesterday. I have no problem with the call. Graham had a bad punt and it ended up hurting us. We were down 8 points at the time. If I had a problem, it was the 3rd down call. If you are gonna run it, it's like saying you are going for it on 4th down. Either throw on 3rd and punt if you don't get it or run on 3rd and 4th. From looking at it though, there was about an 80% chance the Jets don't run right up the middle for a yard on that play.
less that 1 yard. u got to man up everyone n the building knw what was going to happen. it ws gonna be a qb sneak. like i said there no high science in a qb sneak. get a hat on the guy and push for he yard. and as player chad had the option and declined it. this isnt even mangini fault chad bitched up.
It looked like Chad saw something he didn't like and walked to sidelines on his own...They never would have lined up to go for it if Mangini hadn't made the call to go for the 1st down.
The ball was at the 38. Enough time still in the game. Jets down by one possession. Going for it would have given the Bills a good chance to increase the lead. Bills got the ball... Couldn't do anything with it and punted. (The idea.) Then Chad fumbled on the next drive. It wasn't not going for it. It was the Chad fumble.
Ive also said in many threads that Graham is awesome but sucks complete mmonkey ass when it comes to nailing it inside the 20.....absolutely dreadful. but Chad pussed out...I would have liked to see Chad call a timeout there, walk over to mangini and say "listen man tits, they got all the gaps covered but I say we blast it in there".
I must agree, Im not the most aggressive when it comes to going for it on 4th, but that was a time. Call timeout, call a different play, and go for it. You know what you do ? 4 or 5 wides SPREAD THEM OUT. If they do not cover it, step and throw. If they do, sneak.
on that play we have single coverage on cotch and coles. no need to run it. Chad should have saw that and took advantage
Re-read the original post. The fact that we punted and played the "field position game" lead to a Horrible Field Position and subsequently Chad being forced to pass and Fumbling. It all ties in together because of that 1 decision. It was a Crossroad in the game and we took the wrong path. Next time, El Penguino knows better and will bring his Flashlight and a shotty. :wink:
Horrible field position for us? The play had a good chance of giving great field position to the Bills. The Defense kept us in. Chad had wasn't in the endzone (although it wasn't good). Then he fumbled in their red zone. Chad's fault... 100%

And Yes, It ended up being horrible field position for us because our next drive started @ the 12 yard line!!! Like I said, We played the Field position game there and LOST. And because of that it all snowballed. You wanna blame Chad go ahead but to do so without taking the facts into consideration looks like Chad is just a whipping boy.
We played the field game and came out with the ball and without a Buffalo score. Dude, that fumble cost us the game. Trying to blame it on a position call that ended up ... us with the ball and NO Buffalo points is just plain false. It was the fumble no doubt.
