That's what I'm thinking: DRC's seeing if he can squeeze a little more out of the NYG before comitting to Idzik's offer sitting there on the table.

Yea great plan so we will be drafting a starting corner in rounds 3-4?Stop using Seahawks as a model that almost never happens getting that many starters late in draft.Everyone sees what Seahawks did and think Idzik is responsible for it in some way,get a clue

The plan is the Jets went 8-8 when they weren't suppose to and now they are overconfident as usual. There counting on Millner I guess

Exatly.....What lost in some of these prays is that for 95 percent of the season milliner was awful. He's are best corner right now. I don't care how anyone tries to justify it, the approach to filling these holes in the secondary is baffling

Idzik didn't drop the ball on this. Getting every FA possible is so Tannenbaum. Grow out of it. It does not work. All right?

I like this idea but it also worries me. There are MANY players that I've watched over the years that could only perform at a pretty high level in limited work or in a limited role. Ray Mickens is a great example. He was a very good CB3 but the times he started he was exposed. My concern about Walls is this: do we have an every down, every situation CB or a good role player? Nothing wrong with a good role player, but ya gotta use the right tool for the right job.

    Interesting take

I was originally inclined to disagree, but I just see that the Giants signed Walter Thurmond @ $3.5m for 1 year, according to Schefter, (although they are still scheduled to meet with Rogers-Cromartie) so maybe the Giants are not going in on DRC , as you wrote

IMHO the NEPs leap frogged us so far this off season that unless you are happy with being either #2 in our division or lower U may as well now begin talking of 2015 or beyond as the maybe golden years of the NYJs. Thank U to Woody & Idzik are in order

And they could have lost the Miami game if Hartline wasn't hurt early in the game.

At one point DRC and Revis were merely draft picks as well....it all starts with the draft

What does last year's record have to do with anything at this point? And the Jets should have beaten the Pats in week 2 and made the playoffs. What does that have to with who plays CB?

Yep that is MHO & from your post I do not think you have research into our roster @ CB & Safety. Also last I looked W/folk is still a Pat in good standing right?

Not sure what your talking about. Your changing the context of convo to support your theory that not signing a corner is a good idea. You make good points if we were having a different discussion. Lol

At this point we have to assume that Idzik is looking at the corner back options that will be available in rounds 1 through 3 and likes those options better than paying someone like DRC 7-9 million. Now it seems clear we will draft a corner and receiver in first two rounds, order to be determined on who we've rated higher on either side of ball when we are on the clock at 18

You're joking right? Revis and Browner? That's not "significantly" better.
