It’s not even an overreaction thread. None of it is based in something that actually happened to react to to begin with.

    It’s a delusion thread.

It’s kind of amazing how people can extrapolate the smallest of things into the true meaning of life. It would be so interesting to watch the thought process unfold.

I don't think the thread is far off the mark, and I also don't think it's an overreaction. Gregg W is a Buddy Ryan disciple, and I think we'll find that his overall philosophy and methodology isn't going to be terribly different from Rex. Send exotic pressure all day long and live with the performance of single coverage in pass protection.

And when your secondary is as bad as ours, that's not a great formula. The thing that may make a difference is that Rex never had a very potent offense to keep the defense off the field and keep his guys fresh to close out games. Another difference is that he had Revis in his prime for a couple of years, Williams does not have that luxury.

We'll see what the lesser of two evils is.

    On a side note...

I got to chat with Cromartie today.
He didn't seem very interested in coming back.

We couldn't squeeze the child support under the cap.

That's because he's busy trying to learn all his children's names and birthdays.

Might be easier to convince him to come “in”.

Giants fans were over reacting as well. I spoke with many at work on Friday and they were all talking like Jones is the real deal. People don't realize this is extremely vanilla stuff and many of these young guys are seeing live action for the first time.
