We still have no "get rid of the effeing ball" pass plays. It's the one area where Sparano is not an improvement over Schotty (status quo)
We have little talent on the field at the pass catching positions and few 3 second or less pass plays. The modern NFL is made for 6-7 yard three second plays. We just don't do it. It's not defending Sanchez, it's more esoteric than that. The NYJ are at a point where their organizational philosophy will be tested. The Steelers and Giants, make decisions and stand by them, then seek to improve on the margins. Results....VLTs. The Jets have a premier defensive mind at the helm. If they stand by thgets excision, get a real OC to work with their high draft pick QB, and improve on the margins, they will get there. Phil Simms was. Bum for 8 years. He got a ring.
