We have no identity on offense and it will not come about within the next few weeks. The Jets should lose the rest of their games. The Bills put up points. IF we can't match them offensively which I doubt, then we should lose the rest of our games.
Sanchez is not an NFL QB.

Every game is a winnable game really... the question is, will we be able to have a consistent game plan on Offense?

I hope when you formed your ideas on this thread you took in to account if it is going to be warm & sunny & 70 degrees for the last 3 games or is it going to be windy, rainy/snowy & cold for the last 3 games since if it appears that MS cannot cope with the cruel winter NE weather :jets:

    They're all losable, as well.

How in the fuck can someone expect to win out after the way we've been playing?

Because things change pretty quickly in this league. 2 weeks ago they were at the very least a top 3 team and now they fucking suck. They could continue to fucking suck or they could get back to playing the way that made them 9-2. I will be expecting them to come out and play well because that is what I always expect.

The thing is it's pretty apparent that we weren't a Top 3 regardless of what our record said. The bottom line is this team hasn't played a great game all season outside of week 2 despite the won/loss record. There is no reason to believe that Sanchez is all of a sudden going to turn it on. RT mentioned that he can tell in the body language of the players on offense that they've quit so why will they all of a sudden turn it on against the Steelers and Bears when they couldn't turn it on against the Pats and (for the division and homefield) and a home division game against our biggest rivals after being embarrassed on national TV?

I'm sorry but I see a defeated team. The Pats demoralized them so bad that I don't see them recovering if they didn't do it against Miami with not only a chance to all but look up a playoff spot but send the Phins packing for the winter. The D obviously bounced back against an offensively challenged team but our O is so out of sync and out of reality that I fear for Sanchez's safety on Sunday. I have to be honest but I think Sunday is going to be the worst game we have seen from our O this season.

Our offense is pretty terrible - which when you look at the quality in the OL, at back, at receiver is just ridiculous - Sanchez better sort his shit out the rest of this season and into the next o/w he is looking at the bust label (mind you with millions of $$$ guaranteed regardless of what happens it could be a lot worse).

If this team continues on its present course we will absolutely lose against Chicago and Pittsburgh. Given the fact that Buffalo is giving some teams a run for their money recently, I'm not chalking that one up as a "gimme" either.

It's completely possible that this team doesn't make the playoffs- right now, they don't deserve to and wouldn't make it past the first round anyway.

Like I said, right now they fucking suck. That trend could continue for the rest of the year or they could turn it around. Right now there really is no reason to expect them to turn it around but that hasn't stopped other teams that have been declared dead by the fans and media from turning it around before.

    great post and thread

fortunately Rex and the team don't have the same hangdog, give up attitude as some of our resident same old jets "fans" do here at gang green

two wins in the last three, guaranteed

and a first round whupping of the Jaguars

then we'll see what happens in round 2 at Heinz

This is a good thread. Even if I am not fully on board with the opinions it is a nice reminder of what is in fact possible.

Now back to my regularly scheduled gloom and doom. After watching those last 2 games (really the last 6 games) it is pretty hard to imagine the off turning it around vs the Steelers.

But what else can we do other than turn on the TV and hope for the best. So I will!

Unless the Jet D completely shuts down the Steelers, Sanchez and co. will not be competitive in Pittsburgh. He's in way over his head, he may look servicable early in the season, but when the games start to mean something he looks scared. The Pittsburgh game will not be pretty.

    ^^ This.

If your a realist you would think the the O=line play has seen a major drop since the Woody injury. Sanchez has seen a drop in play with the shaky protection. Those two facts combined with a couple of Monster Pass rushing teams comming in the next couple weeks spells trouble.

We need to be gaming planing for max protect now. Get hunter the help he needs in the form of a TE at least chipping before a route if not staying in. If we let these two teams come at us hard without help its going to be an ulgy couple of weeks.

Winnable games? Yes. Easy games? Not by a long shot.

Woody out. Leonhard out. Greene got 17 yards on 8 carries. Drops everywhere by the receivers. MS looking like he's been sent to the time out corner. Turner and Hunter playing lots of time along with Slauson.

Jets coming off a test of character, at home, where they let Miami beat them for the third straight time at home.

Yeah, winning out looks like a sure thing.

They're all winnable. This is the NFL.

Am I expecting us to win though? Nope. :(

    I hope I'm wrong.

I love how everyone is sure we'll lose.

How do you all go through life? Do you just mope around with your head down all day? Do your wives beat you and make you clean up her mess in the bathroom?

Chargers likely take that division, which is good for us because of the Cheifs poor conference record.

Miami is done, now way they're winning out, even if by some miracle they do the breakdowns are not in their favor. That Browns loss was killer.. lol

When the Colts beat the Jags this week they will both be 8-6, with Jax having a 7-4 conference record and the Colts a 6-4 conference record. If the Jags win the Colts are out because of their conference record and having 7 losses.

Most likely we'll just need to beat the Bills to get in, but we'll definitely win 2 out of the last 3 here anyway. I hope we get the Pats first, I am praying for that moment. Sanchez will be ready to tear them up again at that point.
