Our Jets offense should be so much fun to watch.

Right ! Which is why ( assuming no trades ) I advocate for them to find their center this year in the draft among other positions non-OL. Maybe take a flyer on an OT in the 6th or 7th round and hope to find a gem. Go LT next year with the 1st rounder when there is an actual hole and the talent is much better.......

I wanted Baker first, Rosen second. I was stoned for wanting Mayfield though. You were one of the guys who also threw stone at me. But boy was a I wrong about Darnold. He is a class act, a good student of football and humble. I hope he shows the growth we all want to see and become a franchise QB and elevate the plays of around him.

    Not convinced yet

I’ve been burned too many times

Bell is great but his delayed style at hitting the hole scares me with this OL

I see slot of negative runs... which is going to put undue pressure on Sam with 2nd and 14

But I like the positive attitude

    And I hope I’m wrong

Chris Herndon. This kid was a steal and wasn't selected until the 4th round out of Miami. Had a similar rookie campaign to that of Dustin Keller's rookie season numbers wise. This is a former Hurricane who's going to be a lot of fun to watch he's freakishly talented and plays fearless too was without question the NFL's most productive and most impressive rookie TE last year and with Gronk now retired this kid is now the face of the AFC East TE position. Most TE's take a full two sometimes three seasons to break through this kid has already made a name for himself and with Bell drawing so much attention and Robby a threat to kill you deep I really feel Darnold/Gase are going to utilize Herndon down the seams, on 3rd down, off of play action, Darnold roll outs and overall just unleash his potential within an attacking offensive scheme; because nothing can compare to the importance of a young QB having a best friend such as a pass catching TE heck Jason Witten is going to the H.O.F as Romo's security blanket "Darnold to Herndon" I feel is going to become an NY household saying.

Threw stones at you? . Never, evîna min! . : ) . Being a smart-ass dick I poked fun at Mayfield not for his QB ability so much as for his (and Rosen's) seeming douchiness....

And while Rosen had a great statistical game vs. USC, here's the game-winning QB getting his ass kicked but whose 'x factor' grit and making something out of nothing.

I still think he ends up as the 3rd best QB in that class once he gets out of Arizona.

To respond to the original post, I don't see this offense lighting it up just yet.

Darnold still needs experience and it isn't always going to be smooth sailing. He is 21 years old and still needs playing time to learn the NFL game. He will have moments of brilliance like he did last year, but he will also have bad games.

The offensive line isn't ready quite yet as many have alluded to. If they are more aggressive improving the oline during the draft, my opinion may change.

I admit I did, but I don't believe I was in the majority.

Think of it this way, who would you rather have? Rivers / Big Ben or Eli?

One can only hope/pray that Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen class lives up to this one.
