I don’t think it starts for us until tomorrow but I might be wrong. https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-offseason-22-nfl-teams-open-mandatory-minicamps-this-week
Reddick no show Rodgers not there, told them months ago. Not an excused absence so prob will get fined. Can't wait to see the headlines tomorrow.
It's okay, it frees me up to follow Commanders minicamp and see if Jayden Daniels is on track to give me a new team to root for.
meh... The dude's been there for all the voluntary shit so far, and has been in the league forever. Is it really a big deal if he misses a day or two? I mean huayuasca conferences don't happen everyday ya know...
Who cares that he missed. He let the team know months ago that he wasn't going to be around for this date. He has been around for everything else.
It matters because he's the face of the team and the leader of the team. Why should everyone else bust their ass if he won't? Unless someone is being born or dying he has to be there but again, we see that Rodgers feels the rules apply to others and not to him.
He told them months ago. He has gone to every single thing, voluntarily btw. It's a nothing burger. He's getting fined just like anyone else would.
Not a huge deal, I agree, but I still don’t like it. What conflict does he have that he can’t be at mini camp that he was aware of since probably the start of last season?
Is it supposed to make it better that he let the Jets know he was going to blow off minicamp? I coulda told you he wasn’t going to be there months ago too. In fact I think I kinda did
He doesn't want distractions this season and he has created another one. Show up, shut up, do your job.
Well, it apparently matters to ownership and/or the front office. The team could easily have given him permission to miss the session, but it didn't. Doesn't that suggest that someone isn't happy that Rodgers isn't there?
It's very much a do as I say, not as I do thing with Rodgers. I'm getting to the point of being exhausted by all of this and the guy has only played 3 snaps that actually counted.
If the team had let him skip the day w/o fining him it would have set a bad precedent and rankled some players. It was handled just fine and it's a big nothing.
Bob Saleh on Rodgers: "It's unexcused, but he had an event that was very important to him, which he communicated." did the media ask what the event is? isnt that like their jobs
