    Exactly my thoughts. I like Joe, loved him with the marlins.

    From what i've heard, Don Baylor is the more likely replacement in Baltimore anyway.

    I really don't know what Joe Girardi has done to be able to pick & choose his next job.. The guy was under .500 in his only year as manager and was basiclly fired for disrespecting his bosses.

    He had basically nothing to work with other than Willis and he kept them in the playoff hunt for most of the season...and he was named manager of the year by his peers...

    His team had no payroll, they hung around the playoff race way longer than they had any business, and his boss is a tremendous asswipe who was disrespected because he was yelling at umpires from his box seats.

    Yeah, didn't Girardi "being disrespectful" come as a result of that guy yelling at the umps? Didn't he basically tell him to STFU? I mean, I would do the same thing. Last thing you need is for an ump to pull a vengence call because an exec is in the stands talking smack.
